I pressed a hand over my heart as I watched what was going on back in Kuroriku and the rest of Zionia via a pool of water. Vadim was lying on the ground, watching as Reginald's vines swatted Ailia and Yukihina away like brittle leaves. The thorny tendrils whipped through the sky. Ailia dived to avoid the strike. Yukihina shaped the incoming beams of ice from the castle into sculptures of her rapier and sent them flying through the air, slicing and dicing the vines aiming for the barrier containing Bulgae's still exploding core.
The pool shifted to a scene from Taahid. Hyun-ah was gritting her teeth as the vines blocked out the sky over the desert. All across the world, the vines were spreading.
