Noel and I finished our breakfast and went to join the others in the lobby. As we walked, I made a note in my head to ensure Noel didn't do anything foolish. Seemed to be the type to have a knack for it.
Farid stood at the inn's entrance, a scroll in one hand, a leg on crossed perpendicular to the other. "Good morning. I trust you slept well."
"We did," Amelia said, smiling. "Thank you for your hospitality."
"It's the least I can do for paying guests," he said with a slightly chuckle. "Now, I know you all need supplies. I've taken the liberty of making a list of the best shops in town. The prices are fair, and the quality is good. I've also spoken to the shopkeepers. They will treat you with respect. I also recommend buying something nice. The Sultan is a man who cares for first impressions."
He handed the scroll to Amaya. She unrolled it and studied it, her expression unreadable.
"This is... thoughtful of you," she said, her tone cautious.
