Despite such a clean hit, Tsukiya was able to survive just fine. The Tar that clung to her body would act on its own, snaring the bullet before it even cuts through her skin. She was able to get herself up and raise her arms, knowing well her magic is stuck onto her body. Another shot was fired, but she was able to retaliate with the Tar, taking advantage of its overprotective nature, allowing the bullet to be ingrained once more. Switching shells, Bronx would fire an explosive round, an attempt to burn it down, knowing well of the consequences if any bystanders were to be injured in the blast.
To his surprise, Tsukiya would take the talismans freed from such ink and let it scatter, swirling around, using such winds and the force of the shot to tear the paper and summon a Yokai, letting it swallow around the bullet and explode from within. A massive ribcage forming and tanking the hit, the skeletal bones quickly bleeding from the impact, draining such life from the ground as if the dead were its transfusion. As the arms were about to form, Bronx recognized that she was able to survive off of both styles, letting him lower his weapon, seeing if she would respond in tandem. Tsukiya didn't trust this change at first, letting the body of the Gashadokuro begin to take shape. As he remained still, allowing the beast to form and ready itself, the Kitsune recognized that he was surrendering on that small front. She'd call off the beast, letting it part into dust and paper, flowing across the man's body with such force, as she'd keep her eyes open. "Explain" she'd demand.
"Was going to ask the same thing. You know what he's affiliated with, right? I doubt with what's going on that he should be liable to stay in Calibren." Bronx replied.
"Tch. Hate that you have a point..." She'd evaluate her choices, knowing fully well that he was just as knowledgeable as they were. Koina was only able to relay the message, whilst he experienced it firsthand. She does steel herself and respond in tandem. "...But that's where my argument lies. Apparently Sozo is starting to tap into him, specifically in his mind. I've no doubt he's going to go against us with how he reacted."
"And if its a lie? A trick to take us down during the battle?"
"Would you rather he'd try to sneak into the mountain and destroy Calibren from the inside out?" Such a question made the Sniper's eyes widen a bit. He'd give himself some pause as he'd evaluate his own choices, recognizing that this is a potential plan to work around. "Listen... we're enemies. I know that. You want to kill Envy. I know that. As it stands now, though, this IS my Home. If they're going to go into my home and destroy it, I am not standing by and let them do as they please."
"What's in it for me then with getting information on the Shadow Mage's plans?" Like a dagger to the heart, Bronx ensured to get to the matter itself. He knows her well: a Trickster. A woman with the soul of a spirit that can deceive anyone when it can.
"I want to know what that army of yours is doing here and what happened to Envy. A seal was placed in his mouth and he can't speak properly because of it. We can't share information with that marking." Just as accurate, just as lethal. Bronx would sigh as he'd look down and weigh his options. The information felt too good to pass up, as it would give him both the edge and the chance to face his target. The risk, however, feels more of a detriment, a weighted negative that exceeds over the positives. Without any other choice, he'd nod, giving his end of the agreement. "Alright. You're aware of the Man in the Mountain from what I saw. That's going to be their end goal. They'll most likely take on a few members we have here, but they're main plan is puppeteering Envy and make him break out Oyama-Don. I have him closely on me to ensure if that happens, I'll be the first to answer."
"And the prophecy?"
"To hell with it. He's my friend, and I'd be damned if I left him alone out there."
Bronx can't help but respect such pride in her voice, as he'd switch up his bullets. "I'll make sure to help then in pacifying that man. If you're truly risking your life for it, I'd also be damned if the daughter of the King would lose his personal treasure. Got myself a new set of bullets to utilize in order to counter that failsafe of his, the one that made him go insane. With any luck, we could push back the Shadow Mages and get a chance to counter back."
"Perfect. Now your turn."
"Figured. I'll keep it short and sweet, then, so we don't waste time. Ji-Mon is the one who set up the army, using the outskirts of a kingdom's corpses as a base. Cupid was the one who placed the seal and kept him quiet in case he rats out to the Shadow Mages." Tsukiya's eyes widened upon hearing such news, but Bronx goes further. "Supposedly the army came from one of Sozo's genocides, a whole rainfall piercing into whatever vitals were available. Luckily, everything else remained intact, allowing Ji-Mon to bring them back. Cupid told me he's already almost at the top. If he does well here, those two would be promoted as the 6th and 5th members."
"And the others?"
"Unfortunately, I'm the only one ready to fight back. Our own members are dealing with other problems, like the one rising in Kabanaska." Tsukiya winced upon hearing such words, a memory once forgotten, wishing to stay buried. "Yeah, nobody likes that kingdom, but it IS under the Omega's Circle. Stoken's also got some problems we're looking out, and Orochi's most likely the army pulling up to counter our own. All in all... it's a hellzone."
"Thank you... and please... be mindful with Envy." With such words, she'd leave, quickly carrying the Living Tar over her body and taking him back to the castle. As much as he wanted to raise his gun and land a shot against the enemy, he'd refuse. With more allies, he hopes he has a chance to take down the one that intervened their match.
