As dawn rose, the group were quick on preparing for the inevitable war. The Children were quick on trying to train Applin's gift, watching as the Hammers swung around would hit at every object possible to see what does and doesn't have energy, whilst being followed by the Descendants to keep them in line. The two watched as Koina slipped by into the castle's grounds in order to investigate their plan regarding such a subtle invasion, with Adel as back-up by knocking out any guards that try to follow. Such an attack, however, would keep getting him in trouble, forced to run about and hide away from any other guards or the other Wonders that try to apprehend him.
Chaos aside, Envy was quick on tapping on Tsukiya's shoulders, his eyes darted down to the ground. The Kitsune was quick on paying attention and sets up a few Shikigami to float forward, letting them act as her 'cameras' to keep an eye out as the two went to a small seclusion in the streets. "Is everything alright, Waow?" She'd ask, her head tilting to the side.
"...He's going to bring everyone, I'd imagine... Is this going to be the moment? Y'now... when we're..." Envy's question lingered just enough for Tsukiya to piece it together, letting her pat him on the shoulder.
"Relaaaax. Even if what he said is true that you two are the same, does that REALLY apply now?"
"You're not understa-"
"No, no. Seriously. Do you seriously expect Sozo to try and help people?" Her question would make the man pause. Even though part of him believed such was the case, such belief is only a mere lie. A tall tale that would skip over every occurrence he's seen or heard of him. "No, right? So by that logic... that's something different from both of you, Waow Waow! You don't need to be scared of him." Her comforting words were coupled with a quick tug into a strong hug, her embrace squeezing such tar, blotching her outfit in black. Even though the Living Tar tries to push her away in fear of dirtying her, she could care less. If anything, she'd nuzzle into him to further cement her thoughts. Like a teddy bear, she treats him with such needed appreciation.
"...I'm..." He was at a loss of words. He closed his eyes, only being met with that same vacant face, that same nihilistic expression. Even though he stared into that bleak mirror, he'd visualize himself and only his self prevail through. Even in the sea of black, he can see a figment of light that reflects off of his own thoughts. He'd take a deep breath, resting his head back against the wall, as Tsukiya could feel his life being steady.
"Better now?"
"...Somewhat."
"It's a start! Now, let's go catch up with the lil' rascals. We can say you found a beast and splashed a bunch of ink everywhere if they ask about me." She was quick on making her way out of the area, letting Envy trail behind. Even with such words of encouragement, an inkling of doubt still seeps into his mind. He'd follow along, but his mind remains clouded. He couldn't simply just shake off what was told, not after everything he learned was a lie in its own right.
"You're not truly listening, are you?" A Voice, one that echoed across the Tar's head. A familiar voice that he recognized immediately. A face of dejection contorts into rage as he'd try to look back and see who the voice was, yet to no avail. It speaks again once it sensed his anger. "See? You're letting me live rent-free in your mind."
"Why are you here...?" Envy asked. "Had you not gotten enough for a fill in bothering me?
"I am you... and you are Me. If you're there, then so am I. If you are hurt... so will I."
"And if I die??"
"...You have no idea how much I wish to lie and say the same thing." Such pangs of pain from his voice echoed. Envy, however, could care less about such a depressive tone.
"Well even then, I am still me. Just because we are one of the same, I'm not following your damn hands! I MAKE MY OWN CHOICES! NOT YOU!!" Such screams would be quick to catch on outsider's ears, their heads turning to see what was going on. Tsukiya would try to reach out towards him, but would be stopped.
"I figured as much. It doesn't matter, though. Nothing matters. At least, to me. We'll see if you can keep this pride after our trip. Mind your head, by the way."
BANG!!!
Immediately shot down, his chest giving way to a hole, as Tsukiya lunged herself forward to catch him, checking his vitals if he was still alive. To her surprise, he was, but his eyes were starting to dilate, his mind slowed, his breath at ease. Even with such a gashing wound, it reformed itself, letting him survive the shot. She'd look up to see who did it, watching the shadow cascade down, the massive barrel looming overhead. His own eyes stared down as he'd descend, now on a proper eye level, now with the advantage. The people cheered as they'd recognize what was going on, recognizing who may have been the beast that nearly threatened Calibren.
Recognizing who the person was responsible for taking down such a beast for good. His camo-like clothes sported a new design, small twigs and leaves all over his body, sewn as if they were buttons and cufflinks, as a few Wonders were quick on carrying out his order. He didn't waste any time as he'd pull his arm up, taking aim towards the unconscious sludge.
Bronx merely stared down at such a Descendant, before pulling the trigger. Tsukiya was forced to act fast, tossing the living tar aside so he wouldn't be hurt, taking his bullet in his stead.
BANG!!
