Chapter 106 - Chapter 107: Do You Like Big Blonde Waves?

"Then we'll start once you're ready." Rez let out a long sigh of relief, a smile appearing on his face as the corners of his mouth curled up and the tension in his eyes dissipated.

"Huh?" Linoshi was caught between laughter and tears. She glanced up at Rez before quickly lowering her head again.

Did such things really need to be said so clearly?

"But... what was that you were just inhaling? Smoke was even coming out of your mouth." Linoshi quickly changed the subject, her eyes lifting to rest on the wisp of smoke still lingering around Rez's lips, her gaze full of curiosity.

"It's nothing..." Rez hurriedly pinched the cigarette butt between his fingertips. A tiny flash of light flickered, and the butt instantly vanished into nothingness, leaving not even a trace of ash.

Linoshi immediately focused her gaze on the cigarette pack in Rez's hand, her eyes narrowing slightly as she pursed her lips.

Rez's fingers paused for a moment, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

The Little Angel actually didn't know what cigarettes were.

Why do I always feel like this Little Angel was only born not too long ago?

She seemed to be unaware of many things.

"Is it that?" Linoshi pointed at the cigarette pack in Rez's hand, tilting her head with curiosity in her eyes.

"This is called a cigarette. People on Earth like to take a puff and then enjoy the process of blowing out clouds of smoke. After all, they can't fly," Rez explained with a smile, flicking the cigarette pack with his finger. "We are the warrior race, the Saiyans, so this thing isn't very interesting. I was just trying it out for a moment."

"Let me try too..." Linoshi suddenly became interested, her eyes lighting up as she reached out to grab the pack of cigarettes.

"No, look, where do you see girls smoking?" Rez quickly hid the cigarettes behind his back, his palm tightly gripping the pack.

"Isn't that them?" Linoshi pointed toward three girls deep in the alley, her eyes blinking and the corner of her mouth curling slightly.

Rez glanced over there.

The light in the alley was dim. Three girls were leaning against the wall, cigarettes held between their fingers, blowing out smoke.

They were all dressed as students, but their uniforms were worn sloppily with collars open and skirts ridiculously short.

The three of them were blowing out smoke deep in the alley; they clearly looked like the delinquent type.

Rez's face darkened, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

He stepped forward, his pace steady, his soles making a light sound against the ground.

Seeing Rez appear, the three delinquent girls immediately sized him up.

Their gazes swept over him before landing on Linoshi behind him, their eyes filled with a bit of playfulness.

"Hey handsome, is something the matter?" the leader, a girl with dyed green hair, asked with a smile. She held a cigarette between her fingers and puffed a cloud of smoke toward Rez.

"Are you here to hit on us?" another girl with a Shamate hairstyle laughed, tossing her head so that her fluffy hair swayed in the air.

"Your girlfriend there looks quite weak and fragile!" another girl wearing a nose ring added with a laugh, glancing toward Linoshi.

"Bang!"

Rez punched the wall beside him directly.

His fist sank into the wall, the bricks shattered, and dust trickled down, leaving a hole the size of a bowl in the wall.

The three girls' faces instantly turned pale with fright, and the cigarettes fell from their mouths, the butts hitting the ground and throwing off a few sparks.

Their bodies froze in place, their lips trembling, unable to say a single word.

"Get back to class and behave yourselves!" Rez barked sternly, his gaze like a blade as it swept across the three girls' faces.

"Yes... Teacher!"

The three girls hurriedly bowed, their waists bending so far they almost snapped, before fleeing in a panic. Their footsteps were frantic as they quickly disappeared at the other end of the alley.

"See, Linoshi, women who smoke aren't good women," Rez said seriously, turning back to Linoshi with his hands in his pockets and his chin slightly raised.

"Is that so?" Linoshi blinked, her eyes lingering on Rez's face for a moment before shifting away, her lips pursing slightly.

"Let's not talk about that... I should just destroy this thing." As Rez spoke, he lightly raised his right hand.

"Snap!"

A cluster of starlight flashed in Rez's hand. The silver-white light flickered and vanished, instantly reducing the pack of cigarettes to nothingness, leaving not even the wrapper behind.

"Oh... isn't the movie still going?" Linoshi suddenly remembered something and cried out in alarm, her eyes wide and her mouth slightly open.

"Yeah, since you ran out like that, you missed the rest of the plot," Rez said with a smile, a hint of helpless amusement in his expression.

"How about... we go back and watch it again?" Linoshi suggested, her eyes lighting up as she leaned forward slightly.

Rez nodded.

The two returned to the cinema, bought two more tickets, and started watching from the beginning.

The lights in the theater dimmed, and the images on the screen began to play again.

This time, Rez was still not very well-behaved.

His fingers tapped twice on the armrest of the seat before slowly moving over...

After all, he had already seen the previous plot.

Linoshi had also adapted to the environment of the theater. She bit her lower lip hard and didn't make a sound, only her eyelashes trembling slightly.

Does Rez like my feet that much?

After the movie ended.

Rez took Linoshi to taste some of Earth's delicacies.

The two sat in a small restaurant with several home-cooked dishes steaming on the table.

"I have to say, the food here on Earth is indeed very good." Linoshi ate happily, her eyes curving into crescents. She held a piece of sweet and sour pork rib with her chopsticks, taking small bites, her cheeks puffing out slightly.

"It's slightly inferior to what Lapina makes," Rez commented in a low voice after tasting a few bites.

"Rez... do you like big blonde waves?" Linoshi suddenly looked up and asked, staring straight at Rez, her lips pursing slightly.

Rez's chopsticks paused in mid-air before he slowly set them down.

That way of phrasing it is very easy to misunderstand.

"Do you mean to ask if I like that woman named Lapina?" Rez asked with a smile, the corners of his mouth curling up as his gaze fell on Linoshi's face.

"You were staring at her for such a long time..." Linoshi said softly, her voice getting smaller and smaller until the last few words were almost inaudible.

She aimlessly poked at her bowl with her chopsticks.

"Does staring for a long time mean I like her?" Rez laughed, leaning forward slightly to look directly into Linoshi's eyes. "I've been staring at you for much longer."

"Huh? Ah..." Linoshi instantly turned bright red with embarrassment. She lowered her eyes, her eyelashes trembling, not daring to say anything more.

After finishing their meal, Rez held Linoshi's small hand as they wandered through the Night Market.

Colorful lights hung on both sides of the street, the cries of street vendors rose and fell, and the air was filled with the aroma of barbecue and roasted chestnuts.
