As the Convoy of Busses were about to be hit by a power breath attack from one of the pursuing monsters.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Another massive monster, a Kaiju appeared out of thin air and shielded the busses and everyone in it.
ROOOOOOOAAAAAAR!
Grrrrrr~!
Everyone: !!!
After it's appearance all the monsters nearby stopped moving and focused their sights on it.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
ROOOOOOOAAAAAAR!
Soon after letting out a loud thundering roar, the monsters that recently appeared and the ones pursuing the evacuation convoy all turned their attention towards this Kaiju.
Turn~
Gaze~
Unknown Kaiju: ...
Glow~!
The unknown Kaiju turned it's massive head and seemingly looked down at the evacuation convoy and the Council that were doing repairs.
Natsuki: I-Is it worried for all of us?
Shino, Sachi, Yuuka, Miku & Chikao: What?
Though the expression of the unknown Kaiju seemed fierce, Natsuki could sense it's worry.
Turn~
Crack!
As it turned it's gaze back at the monsters that were frozen in place, a loud cracking sound came from it.
Glow~!
Unknown Kaiju GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Once again it let out thundering roar towards the monsters.
Rumble~!
ROOOOOOOAAAAAAR!
Rumble~!
Swoosh!
In response all of the monsters turned their attention to it began to charge towards the unknown Kaiju.
Rumble~!
Hegon: Hey!
Even the monsters that Kotori, Ku-kun, Kaigon and Hegon were fighting completely ignored them and charged straight towards the unknown Kaiju.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Swoosh~!
Grip!
Everyone: !!!
Itsuki: So quick!
To everyone's surprise this Kaiju was extremely fast despite it's size, it appeared at the monster that shot the breath attack before grabbing it by the upper jaw.
Spin~!
Swing!
Crack!
As it held tightly onto the upper jaw, it spun and pulverized multiple monsters with its tail.
Swoosh!
Crash!
And threw the one it was holding far away.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Rumble~!
Swoosh!
Crush!
It then charged towards the same monster again before jumping and crushing it's body as it landed.
Chomp!
Unknown Kaiju: !!!
Two monsters came from the sides and bit down into both of the Kaiju's shoulders.
Unknown Kaiju: Glare!
However it was a futile attack.
Grip!
Crush!
The Kaiju grabbed hold onto a hind leg of both monsters, crushing them before pulling them away.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
SLAM!
Stomp!
It then threw them both onto the ground before stomping and crushing their heads.
Slash!
With the numbers of the monsters attacking the Kaiju increased, the Kaiju fought even harder.
Blast!
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOAAAAAR!
At the same time.
Robecca: EVERYONE QUICKLY WHILE WE STILL HAVE TIME!
Taking advantage of the monsters being distracted by the Kaiju for some reason, the agents resumed repairs which were now going smoothly.
???: Woah~! Awesome!
While the evacuees were all watching in awe as the Kaiju continues to fight despite it being outnumbered.
Blast!
Slash!
Even when it was hit by multiple breath attacks, it charged forward as if it was nothing and swung it's claws ripping their heads off.
"Hey Kaigon-san I thought the Kaiju's went extinct two thousand years ago?! Why is there one here?!"
Kaigon: I'm surprised as you all!
Both Kotori and Kaigon were surprised to see a creature that looked similar to Kaigon, a Kaiju.
"Well whatever the case, it seems to be on our side. Lets give it some assistance!"
Kaigon, Hegon & Ku-kun: Roger!
Kotori ultimately decided that they'll assist the Kaiju as it seemed to be more interested in fighting the monsters and didn't attack the convoy upon appearing.
Rumble~!
Slither~!
Swoosh!
The four of them began charging towards the Kaiju facing the hoard.
Unknown Kaiju: !!!
All 4: !!!
However as they approached, the Kaiju looked at them with what looked like a shocked face.
This alone confused them, but what happened next was very unexpected.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Kaigon, Hegon & Ku-kun: Ugh!
After hearing it roar. Kaigon, Hegon and Ku-kun all stopped advancing as well as Akuma Castle Robo.
"Hey! What's going on?! Why can't we move?!"
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Swoosh!
With another roar the three Beast Knights suddenly began running back to their evacuation bus.
"Kagemi! What's going on?!"
Kotori was very confused upon seeing the Beast Knights retreating, and asked Kagemi for answers.
Although even Kagemi has no idea as well.
"Apologies. But I don't know as well, it seems that "Kaiju" was able to barely control the Beast Knights and me."
Although it was clear, this Kaiju was able to control the Beast Knights as well as Akuma Castle to some extent.
"I suggest we regroup back at tej convoy, those things seem to be more interested in the Kaiju than everyone else at the moment"
"Fine!"
And so following Kagemi's suggestion, Kotori went closer to the evacuation convoy while the Kaiju continued fighting.
Back at the bus*
Poof!
After retreating from the fight, The three Beast Knights turned to their tiny sizes again and went inside their bus with everyone else.
Atsuo: Are you three okay?!
Ku-kun: Yes. We're fine.
Yuuka: Why did you all left the fight though? I thought...
Hegon: We don't understand ourselves, but that thing... When it roared our bodies went back here on their own.
Ku-kun: Yeah! We don't know what happened!
Everyone in the buss looked at the three Beast Knights confused.
Rumble~!
Everyone: Woah!
Suddenly the bus shook as something massive came closer, it was Akuma Castle Robo.
"Attention all evacuees, repairs to the busses are now completed. Please return to your seats and and wear your seats belts"
Atsuo: Everyone! You heard her!
Everyone from all of the busses began retuning their seats upon hearing Kotori's orders.
3 minutes later~
GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Vroom~!
After three minutes had passed with the Kaiju keeping the monstes at bay, all the busses were fully repaired operational again.
Dus driver: Hold on tight everyone! This might get bumpy!
Screech!
Almost immediately all busses began driving as fast as they can to escape while the Kaiju was fighting.
Robecca: Great job everyone!
Kirin: Kotori! Is there any room inside?!
"Affirmative. Kagemi has made adjustments for the interior, although we'll be unable to fly now."
"There's no need to worry dear Council, with my core we'll be able to catch up with the convoy."
With Kagemi's reassurance, Querxes immediately ordered all of the agents present.
Querxes: Everyone! Enter Akuma Castle! We're heading to the camp immediately!
All Agents: Roger!
And so they all began entering Akuma Castle through several openings opened by Kagemi.
Agent 1: Kotori-sama!
"What is it?"
One of the agents who tried to help save Kaneki called out to Kotori to ask her an important question.
Agent 1: What about that Kaiju?
He pointed towards the Kaiju.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Slash!
After he mentioned the Kaiju, Kotori looked back towards it as it continued to fight— no, continued...
To Kill.
Rip~!
Slash!
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
It was slaughtering the monsters. Even when it received attacks that had severely damaged and wounded the Beast Knights.
Scratch~!
Tear~!
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
It continued to fight using every part of it's body, from it's head to its tail, from it's jaws to its feet.
It had already slaughtered a huge number of these monsters and continued to do without looking exhausted.
Kirin: It seems to be the only one that can damage those things, we should save it! It can be our ally!
Kirin was fascinated by this Kaiju, and was considering making it their ally.
Querxes: Oi! Are you crazy?! Just because that things "saved" everyone it appeared out of nowhere like those monsters! All we know it could be a trick from the Devil himself!
In contrast Querxes was very suspicious and rightfully so, as it appearing out of nowhere and the only one seen to be able to kill the monsters way too good to be true.
"..."
Kotori was didn't know what to do with the Kaiju, in the one hand she was hopeful that it could be their ally.
But in the other Querxes could also be right about it being a deception from the Devil himself.
Stare~
She turned towards it and stared at it as it continued to fight.
Kotori's thoughts*
(What do I do? This completely unexpected, they're both right— Huh?)
Her thoughts were cut off after she noticed the look in the Kaiju's eyes.
Unknown Kaiju: ...
The Kaiju could look back straight at Kotori every time it made an attack, as if it was trying to tell Kotori something.
(This is a hunch but...)
"Everyone! Get inside Akuma Castle Robo right now! We're leaving!"
Querxes: You heard her!
Kirin: Sigh~ We could've—
"No. I trust this Kaiju."
Querxes: WHAT?!
Robecca: Really? What made you trust in it?
"... I don't know, but from the looks it was giving me it seemed worried"
"Don't be de—"
"It also looked like it was trying to tell us to leave."
Everyone: Huh?
"So let's give him some room!"
Querxes: Ahhh! Alright!
Querxes frustratingly went inside Akuma Castle Robo, and shortly after Robecca and Kirin and the rest of the agents went inside.
"Everyone's in? Good! Let's get going!"
Stomp!
Swoosh~!
Kotori actived several boosters on Akuma Castle and it began running.
At the same time~
Miku: Woah... I can't believe that Kaiju appeared out of nowhere and saved us.
Miku looked through the back window of the bus watching the Kaiju still fighting the monster.
Natsuki: Yeah. And did it looked at us earlier?
As well as Natsuki.
Shino: You two sit down!!!
Yuuka: Yeah, you two might fall off and get hurt.
Miku: Fine, fine.
Listening to their friends, both Natsuki and Miku were about to sit back down.
Miku: Huh?
Until Miku noticed something as they were getting farther away.
Chikao: Why? What is it?
Miku: That Kaiju's tail is glowing.
All 5: What?!
She had noticed that the tail of the Kaiju was glowing a bright red color.
Meanwhile~
And the same at Akuma Castle Robo.
Kagemi: Kotori-sama, I'm sensing a surge of energy similar to the one I've detected before we left Shimotsuki.
Kotori: What?!
Hearing that Kagemi could sense a surge of energy, Kotori looked at her surroundings thinking it was a monster that could do an EMP attack.
Kotori: !!!
And when she looked back towards the Kaiju.
Crack!
Kotori: OH CRAP! THAT'S WHAT'S GOING ON!
She noticed the dorsal plate at near the tip of the Kaiju's tail glowed in a bright red color.
Normally a Kaiju that had a similar build to Kaigon who was an upright reptilian type, it would signal that it was focusing energy before using a breath attack.
But unlike Kaigon.
Crack!
For each dorsal plate that glowed this red light, each said dorsal plate that glowed.
Crack!
The very slightly raised as if the energy was overflowing and making them grow.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
And very quickly all of the dorsal plates raised.
Unknown Kaiju: SCREEEEEEEEEECH!
Glow~!
The Kaiju let out a loud deafening screech as it's mouth glowed red, it was about to unleash it's powerful attack.
And noticing this and not knowing how bad this attack will be, Kotori instinctively warned everyone.
"EVERYBODY BRACE YOURSELVES!"
Miku: !!!
Immediately after hearing her sister's warning, Miku immediately sat back down.
Kotori: !!!
Once again Kotori glanced back at the Kaiju.
Charge~!
Glare!
SLAM!
BOOOOOOOM!
The dorsal plates all pushed back into the body, unleashing a powerful breath attack point blank at the monsters.
Kotori: !!!
The explosion was massive as a nuclear bomb creating a mushroom cloud that could be seen far and wide.
Swoosh!
Everyone: !!!
It's shockwaves spread out shaking everything nearby, but something was off.
Bus Driver: Huh? Why isn't there any damage?
Strangely the convoy which barely got far away were affected as us much receiving little to no damage.
Kotori: Kagemi, damage report.
Kagemi: Analyzing Castle structural integrity... No damages detected, aside from minor damages from our fight with the monsters. No further damage was detected.
Kotori: That's... Not right.
Akuma Castle Robo which was a lot closer to the explosion hadn't experienced any more damage.
Kotori: Strange... Kagemi is the energy signature of the Kaiju still detecta—
GROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!
Kotori: Nevermind.
Kotori looked back towards the mushroom cloud to see that the Kaiju was still standing.
Kotori: Looks like he won.
With the smoke starting to clear, the corpses of the monsters became visible as the Kaiju stood tall.
Unknown Kaiju: ...
Kotori: ...
The two stared at each other without moving.
Querxes: Oi Kotori! Let's get going! We still need to escort the evacuation!
Knowing that their duty was still to protect the people, Kotori turned Akuma Castle Robo and began running after the evacuation convoy again.
Unknown Kaiju: GROOOOAAAAR! Grrr~
Stomp!
And the Kaiju let out a short roar before turning to a different direction and began running.
Kagemi: Kotori-sama, the Kaiju is not pursuing us.
Kotori: I know. If I were to assume he has the same goal as us.
Kagemi: Then shouldn't we make it follow us?
Kotori: No. There are other evacuations happening throughout Japan, for now let's allow him to rampage.
Kagemi: Roger.
Kotori's thoughts*
(That Kaiju saved everyone just now, I wonder... Is it a new Beast Knight?)
As Kotori was wondering what that Kaiju could be.
Meanwhile~
Miku: IT ACTUALLY KILLED THEM ALL?!
At the bus Miku as well as the rest of the Higanbana girls was freaked out after seeing that the Kaiju had won against the monsters and killed them all.
Sachi: You're right! It really did won!
Sachi looked as well to see the monster leaving with non of the monsters pursuing it or them.
Shino: Wow... It appeared out of nowhere and saved us.
Chikao: Yeah.... I surely thought we'd die there.
Natsuki: Yeah...
Shino: But how come it was the only one able to actually kill those monsters?
Yuuka: Who knows?
Natsuki's thoughts*
(Wait.)
After hearing Shino's question, Natsuki looked back to when the Kaiju first appeared and looked at them.
(Could that Kaiju been made by Kaneki?)
She had her own thoughts regarding the Kaiju, and a small possiblity it was made by Kaneki.
Natsuki: I wonder if we'll meet that Kaiju again.
And so with everyone out of harm's way, they all headed straight to the evacuation camp without any further hindrance. Hopefully.
Meanwhile~
Ryueki: WHAT WAS THAT THING?!
???: It seems like a new pest has arrived, must've been a last sitch effort from that mob character.
Ryueki: Tch! Well it's futile anyways.
Ryueki was back at Shimotsuki, he had escaped containment thanks to the other personality inside his head.
Ryueki: After all. We're the kings of this world now.
