Anna had reviewed Charles's memories before and learned that every member of the Blood Clan in the Abyss-Sea originated from a single female. That original vampire, a woman named Lilith, had come to the Abyss-Sea from the Earth's surface along with the first-generation Foundation.
Since she came from the Earth's surface, it's not surprising that other vampires exist up here, too.
The hissing sound of blood being sucked filled the air. As someone intimately familiar with the human body, Anna could instantly tell that the prostitute's veins were nearly drained. Their feeding was about to end.
Watching them, and thinking about the Foundation site she was searching for, a new idea began to form in Anna's mind.
