After a few seconds, the small blue flower remained still, but the wooden wall beside it suddenly swung open.
Behind the wall was a vibrant forest path, lined with vines, thickets, and wildflowers.
"Let's go. The Divine Servant is inviting us," the Priest said, stepping inside. The others quickly followed.
Charles scanned his surroundings as he walked, pondering how to achieve his goal. For now, he had no idea what purpose this island served; all he could do was adapt to the situation.
Based on his past experiences, there was no way the Foundation would create an island just to play house. Given their methods, there had to be something dangerous here—and perhaps those things could be his allies.
The forest path ended at a perfectly round pool of water. It wasn't deep, barely covering their ankles. The Priest led them to the center of the pool to wait.
