Although Charles said nothing, Shanshan could still hear her father's breathing quicken slightly.

Charles swallowed with difficulty. "From now on, don't go to the Earth's surface by yourself. It's very dangerous, and you could get killed. There's a reason the Gods of the Abyss-Sea haven't gone there."
