In the deep, pitch-black sky, Charles flapped his wings vigorously, leading his crew in a continuous climb. Everyone held their weapons tightly, on high alert. As someone with Dark Vision, Charles was the first to see the Floating Island suspended in mid-air. Looking up from below, the island's irregular shape was so oppressive it took one's breath away.
Apart from the sound of their flapping wings, the air was eerily silent. The profound quiet stood in sharp contrast to the Foundation's rain of fire they had experienced before.
After arriving above the island and circling it once, Charles noted that it appeared to be about the same size as Hope Island. The lights that should have been visible in the photos were nowhere to be found; they had all been extinguished.
