"Heh… this is quite amusing. Perhaps this little rat has replaced the Pope and become the new Divine Chosen One." Anna reached out a hand to stroke Lily's fur, but the rat dodged her once again.
"Lily, after you died, did you ever meet the Light God? Did you speak with Him?" Char asked.
"Nope, I didn't feel anything at all. I just felt like I had a warm nap."
Char lifted Lily up in both hands. He honestly couldn't figure out the situation with his gunner and didn't know whether this was a good or a bad thing.
"It should be a good thing, I think. If the little rat is really the Light God's trump card, He'll probably make sure your rat survives at least five more years," Anna chimed in from the side.
Char frowned and thought it over. After bending down to set Lily on the ground, he headed toward the cabin door. "Anna, come for a walk with me on the deck. It's stuffy staying inside for so long."
