"Minister, only three of the merchant ships scheduled to arrive today have shown up. We've also tried contacting the others by telegraph, but to no avail. All trade on Hope Island has come to a halt. If this continues, the island's economy will be thrown into chaos."
Listening to his secretary's report, Leonardo, the Minister of Administration for Hope Island, furrowed his brow. Of course, his thoughts weren't on the chaotic economy; he was considering something far greater.
"Hmm…" Leonardo stood and walked slowly to the window. Pushing it open, he looked out at the distant coastline. What should have been a pitch-black expanse was now a brilliant white.
This is no longer just a trade issue, he feared. The entire Abyss-Sea might be in serious trouble.
"Still can't reach the other islands?" Leonardo asked, turning to the side.
