Charles felt a relentless pressure on his body. He was being chewed!
"FUCK!" White arcs of electricity erupted from Charles's body, leaping repeatedly inside the creature's mouth.
However, the creature didn't react to his lightning attack at all. Instead, it bit down even harder. RRRIP! With a tearing sound, Charles's diving suit was ripped open. The incredibly high-pressure seawater shot in like a water cutter.
Before he could react, a tremendous BOOM echoed through the water. Charles was thrown clear of the creature, and the Narwhal's searchlight reappeared before him. He had broken free.
Taking a moment to steady himself, Charles realized the enormous explosion had been a torpedo from the Narwhal. His crew was attacking to rescue him.
As much as Charles wanted to see what had attacked him, he couldn't worry about that now. His lungs were completely flooded with seawater. If I don't get back to the ship right now, I'm dead!
