Anna was unfazed by the piercing whistle of the ship's horn, as all her attention was captivated by the peculiar island before her.
A gigantic mushroom, the size of a mountain peak, sat at the very center of the island. Its enormous cap shimmered with a faint blue glow against the darkness, making it remarkably conspicuous.
Anna leaned forward, pressing most of her body over the ship's railing to gaze at the mushroom. This view is truly spectacular. If only I had my phone, I could take a selfie.
As she was lost in thought, a commotion erupted below. She looked down and saw that the people from steerage had already begun to disembark.
Anna turned to the servants behind her. "Get everything ready. Let's go down as well."
A dozen comely women stood in neat rows behind her. "As you command, Mistress!" they answered reverently.
