"We must find a way to hold up the pirate ships at the dock for a while, allowing the rest of our forces to seize the fuel plant."
"That's easy!" an excited Kede snatched Charles's pen and drew several arrows on the sea chart. "Just send three ships to attack straight from the 'Crab Claws.' Do whatever it takes to get their attention. We don't need much time, just hold them off for ten-odd minutes."
"Regardless of whether that will work, how are those three ships supposed to get back?" Charles demanded.
"Why would they need to come back?" Kede's words instantly plunged the cabin into a dead silence.
The burly, hook-handed man who had argued with Charles earlier jumped to his feet, agitated. "I absolutely disagree with this plan! My brothers will not go to their deaths for you!"
Kede looked at him with a trace of contempt. "Relax, I don't need your men. I'm afraid if your men went, they'd just run away halfway. Brothers, the time has come to offer our lives to the God of Light!"
