Inside the Narwhal's cabin, Deep tiptoed behind Lily as they crept toward the Captain's Room.
"What do you think Mr. Charles is really doing in there? Why hasn't he come out of his room since we boarded?" Lily whispered.
"You're usually the closest one to the Captain—if you don't know, how would I?" Deep replied, irritated.
"He hasn't been letting me sleep with him recently, so how would I know? Be quiet! Mr. Charles has sharp ears. If we keep talking, he'll hear us."
As they spoke, they neared the Captain's Room. Hearing a commotion from inside, the two pressed their ears to the door, listening to the muffled voices coming from within.
"Why are you so... impulsive! From now on, when it comes to this body... you have to listen to me!"
"On what grounds! Don't think just because you're right this time... you get to lord it over me!"
"That's not... the point! Can you for once... think before you act?!"
