"CRAP CRAP CRAP!"
Genshiro yells as he slings seven arrows from his bow at the giant monster that stood over him. It began to emerge from the portal as a cloak manifested itself over the bug legs of the giant beast. Red and black steam poured out towards the sky as a maroon colored robe covered the beast. An arrow flies from Genshiro's body. As it pierces the beast's eye and face, Yuuto slides towards its two giant bulky arms and slashes them with his blades, summoning one after another until he creates a giant storm of them and slams each one down on the monster's back. The beast starts to glow and roar as Irina and Quarta arrive on the scene to duel with its bulky wings on its back that act as two giant clubs with a sharp pointy blade. The beast opens its mouth wide as well as its center eye. Its giant tongue slides out of its mouth as the robes begin to undo themselves. The monster glows a bright red as it appears to expand, allowing a deafening roar to escape its vocal chords.
Motohama slashes at the creature's ankles with his own blade when suddenly it combusts and explodes, shedding its skin and only shrinking half a centimetre in exchange for all that raw power to release around it. Everyone slides on the ground from the impact of the explosion.
"DAMMIT! RIGHT WHEN WE THOUGHT THE SITUATION WAS UNDER CONTROL!"
Yuuto yells as the monster they're facing starts to grow, turning into a giant white devil twice the size of its original form. Yuuto looks up at it in horror along with the rest of his crew. "Issei, you're in charge now! What's the plan?!" Issei looks up at the beast as he activates his gauntlet. In that terrifying moment, Issei looked up and saw true fear. His mind could no longer comprehend Riser as a creature worse than him was ready to slaughter him impersonally.
"YUUTO! BEGIN A CHARGE TO DISTRACT THIS THING!" Issei roars as he soars up into the air. Matsuda throws all his grenades at the monster, it blocks them with a tentacle as the ground team led by Yuuto take on the giant white devil. As Matsuda follows Yuuto, Irina, and Quarta, he hears Rias, Sona, and the remainder of their households yell "watch out!" from above. Matsuda felt The Professor grab him and raise him up into the air with his tentacles. Matsuda looks back to see not a high ranking member of Shide, but an abomination that resembled the red horned devil himself.
"Crap…." he thought to himself as he looked down at a one eyed demon. Its darkness was indescribable, yet visible for all to see in its perverted version of glory. It roared as its mouth opened, ready to take a bite out of its prey.
"EVERYTHING! FEELS! ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It roared demonically as its grip on Matsuda tightened. The demon summoned storms of darkness and lightning to strike down Yuuto's ground team. They all hide within the buildings while Irina and Quarta keep fighting the giant white shide devil as the only two who can handle the raw demonic power.
"We need to go down there!" Rias yells at her and Sona's household. Yet as they all turned their heads to look at their opponents, they froze. "No, this is different" Rias thought to herself. "It's like Riser's all over again" Rias thought to herself. "They're on a whole nother level…"
"MATSUDA!!!!!!!!!"
Motohama yelled as he almost ran out to help him. Yuuto and Genshiro hold him back before the demon can strike him down. "We need to sever the connection between the demon and the cloud!" THERE THAT MUSCLE MASS! IT'S ACTING AS A NERVE! Its tentacles are somehow connected to them like portals!"
Matsuda suddenly finds himself dropped by the demon. Rodney bursts through a building, covered in the blood of his former opponent, and tackles the monster, but as the muscle connecting the UFO to the demon is severed, the giant mass of chaos takes a life of its own. Matsuda tumbles down the rubble and joins Motohama with Genshiro and Yuuto hiding in rubble from the giant entity.
"DAMMIT WHAT NOW?!"
As the UFO starts to create minions of all kinds it suddenly starts to lean to the ground, crashing into buildings as it slowly drives all over the place. The lighting and minion hordes stop spawning and at that moment the four all look at each other before joining Irina and Quarta.
"QUICKLY ATTACK THE WHITE DEVIL!"
Yuuto summons a sword storm, but the UFO blocks it. Issei flies over to the UFO, watching below as his ground team take on the white devil and Rodney takes on the shide demon.
"ISSEI!"
Yuuto yells excitedly as he creates arms to hold his blades. He spins his arms as he connects as many as he can. He then lunges towards the beast, surpassing Irina and Quartina as he hacks at each tentacle the beast creates. Genshiro throws arrows and grenades at the monster as his sword playing allies rip the beast apart, causing blood to fly everywhere. Issei strikes at the UFO, flying around as he dodges minion apparition after minion apparition, kicking off them for momentum to kick then next one, all while firing lasers at the alien-like ship. Rodney meanwhile gets thrown by the demon as it starts to fly and roar into the sky.
"EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The demon continued to roar as it looked down at Rodney with a single red eye. Its muscles continued to expand as it approached Rodney. The Demon then lunged, grabbing Rodney and throwing him up towards a building. He leaps up after him, causing the two to crash through the rooftop of a building. The monster then takes Rodney by the ankles and throws him down onto the rooftop, where it proceeds to slam into the concrete roof, nearly missing Rodney as he dodges the strike with a roll. Rodney gets on one knee as he uses his tentacles to strike at his opponent, piercing through the flesh of the demon that stood in front of him and ripping out the monster's ribcage. Yet despite missing this crucial structure, the beast begins to run towards Rodney and throw several fists. Rodney strikes back, and the two exchange bone breaking blows, smashing into buildings and flying all around as they control the battlefield. Rodney severs a tentacle as Issei slams into the UFO, causing it to sink lower and lower into the ground while Yuuto leads an attack that subdues the white demon by severing all of its limbs. Issei watches from above, proud of his team. Suddenly, his pride is interrupted by the laughter and jeering of minions. "It's him!" The minions yell, laughing and taunting Issei as he stands under the bright blue sky and bright sun. "You left her, abandoned her for the red head!" Issei sat there floating in confusion as his mind tried to reminisce on the past. In pain, he pauses his thoughts and makes them captive to his very will. His own pride clashes with his lust, allowing his body to proceed with the goals within physical reality, while his soul is left bleeding.
Issei charges at each winged fiend, each demon feels their eyes plucked out and their skulls bashed as Issei flies all around the massive UFO and causes it to crash. It gleamed red as its organic alien-like wires radiated red aura.
"No point"
Issei says to the demons as he flies up into the air.
"You can't twist the truth, not anymore…"
He then remembers back to when he thought he knew everything. To when he thought he knew how to win Raynare's heart. Back to when he thought he knew what species she was. Back to when he thought he knew his two best friends. Back to the good old days.
"But they're gone now" he thought.
SLAM!
The UFO blows up right at the same time that Yuuto slashes the demon's head off. Yuuto stared at it in the giant big red eye it had as it reminded him of his abandonment. Yuuto sheds some tears as Issei falls towards the group. A moment goes by as the bodies crashed to the ground. Issei felt calmness as he got up and smiled. He looked around to see his group still standing with the households above them as reinforcements, proud that it only took half of their forces to take down even stronger threats. Issei begins to walk over towards his friends as Yuuto stood on the neck of the giant he just slayed.
"Yuuto you made it man!" Issei says with a cheery voice. Yuuto looks back and breaks down to Issei's voice. As Issei walked over to Yuuto, an explosion from where Rodney was reveals him dropping down from the giant skyscraper he was just on top of. Bits and pieces of his opponent fall to the ground, with Rodney slamming his feet into the head of the demon. He stood there for a moment as he rose from his crater to join the rest of the group. Everyone stood there embracing with joy and celebration as Issei and Rodney went over to confront Yuuto, who looked up at the sky with peace.
"This isn't over, is it…" Rodney said bitterly. "Not until I avenge my peers, my brothers and sisters who were sacrificed in my place. Until all the mercenaries are dead, I must fight not for others but for myself." Issei walks over and puts his arm on Yuuto's shoulder. "This is going to sound cliche, but why not together? Why not have the support of an entire team behind you?" Yuuto feels his eyes shake as he sheds some tears. "Because I can't drag you into my mess."
"It's not your mess," Issei said to Yuuto. "We're all in this together. If anyone is dragging anyone into anything, its me. After all…" Issei takes a moment to pause before finishing his sentence.
"When this is all over, not even God will be left."
Yuuto stood there frozen. What was supposed to be comforting felt rather sinister. "Right" he says as Issei gives him a sinister smile. It fades as he looks over to see Rias with his entire household as well as Sona and her respective people. Yuuto turns his head to look into Rias's broken eyes.
"Yuuto you're back…" Rias says, looking at him somberly saying "Yuuto, what's going on?" Yuuto stood there still as his arms swayed casually. He looks around at all the destruction around him, feeling the heat from flames burning rubble consuming society before his very eyes. He sheds a few tears as he finds himself dropping to the ground. Issei kneels to match his eye level with Rodney walking over to stand over the two.
"You don't have to say anything, but we're doing this together from now on. You can't rely on yourself, you're one man Yuuto." Issei says this with his hand on Yuuto's shoulder. Yuuto looks up at Issei and smiles before rising up to join him.
"You should all head home now" Issei says as he looks at Motohama and Matsuda. "We're gonna make sure the scene is cleared. We'll call you if something changes, and Rias…"
Rias turns to Issei as she has Yuuto by the collar dragging him home. "Don't let him out of your sights. Make him comfy at home, he's had a long week." Rias smiles as she leads Yuuto along with the rest of the crew away. Issei's arm turns back to normal as he looks over to his two friends.
"You boys think we're good here?" Issei asks. "Looks like it. It's a damn shame this had to escalate, but now I can imagine the funding for our department will go up massively" Matsuda says.
"Yeah, before we were established, those centipedes did much more damage to the city. Horrible stuff just watching them move around those buildings and crushing all those people" Motohama turns as Issei froze.
"Where were you that day?" Matsuda asks as he turns to Issei. "Where was I?" Issei asked. "Where wasn't I?" Issei asked back as he looked up at the sky to see a floating figure with black wings. Recognizing his orange hair to be Azazel, he looks back at his friends.
"I was there before their creation. Riser had mad men abducting people all over the nation, branding them as his pets before casting spells on them to merge their bodies. Those who weren't lucky enough to be the head were the tails, and the rest were even more unfortunate enough to be somewhere in the middle. Their bodies mutilated for the creature's maximum capability. Their thick muscles were so hard to cut and punch through. I remember the way they roared, the muffled cries of those who tried to resist the demons' bedding, their bodies possessed to commit atrocities while being one themselves. I remember it all too well" Issei spoke, remembering the hideous anatomy of those very creatures.
"Boys, I have some company to attend to, evacuate the area, this won't be long" Issei says as he points up to the fallen angel of weapons. He descendes slowely as Motohama and Matsuda draw their weapons.
"GO!" Issei orders.
"If anything happens, we can't control what outcome comes next" Matsuda warns.
"I understand," Issei said as Azazel landed in between Issei and the two boys. "There won't be any need for reinforcements," Azazel said to the two boys. He then turns to Issei.
"My boy, how have you been?" Azazel asks with a warm smile, patting Issei on the back. "Does it look like I'm doing good?" Issei asks in a rather sarcastic tone. "My boy, your world is not the only one under attack" Azazel stresses. "But I believe your goodness is what'll save it. After all, that's the law of the universe." Issei turns around "Oh really? And what do you call this law?" he asks. Azazel then looks at him with a confident smirk. "Many call it God's will, and fine let them, but you know what word I like to call it more accurately?"
"Karma"
Those words echo in Issei's mind all day as Azazel took off. Issei looked up into the sky to see Azazel grow many wings while soaring. He walks home and collapses onto his bed. His mind replaying Azazel's words over and over into the next day, up until the present moment where he finds himself in a sparring match against the daughters of God himself, Irina and Quarta.
"You must be like, really strong to be able to heal Fallen angels and demons!" Irina says excitedly. "But she's now a witch. And to think that a woman of God would leave him so quickly."
"What's going on? Wait, did Quarta call Asia a witch? No way, no is she serious right now?" Issei thought to himself, forgetting about Azezel for a moment. "Hey now go easy on her. Issei the prophet knew what he was doing by reviving her, do you not trust in the lord Jesus Chri-"
"Shut up!" Quarta yells. Suddenly the cheerful sparring session turns grisly as Quarta accuses Asia of all sorts of nasty things and lays accusations on her. The mood shifts as the other members of Rias's household stand there in shock.
"And look at her, she knows what she did was wrong. She didn't even turn into a real devil, but she knows that in concept and principality she might as well have, by accepting Rias's bishop mark she took the mark of the beast and lost her saint title. That's as far as one can go to-"
"Hey, cut it out!"
Issei says to Quarta with a stern tone. Koneko tries to hold him back, but Issei feels himself turning red. "Go spew shit from your anus somewhere else, oh wait, that's your mouth that's on your face!" Quarta takes great offense, blushing as she puts her hand over her heart while Issei moves Koneko aside and walks towards the two Seraphims. "For holy angels you sure act pretentious!" Issei roars as he walks over to them. He finds his power growing as he charges it up.
"I'm the only real devil here, some come get me with that crap. But don't even look at Asia if you're gonna accuse her of such nonsense!"
Quarta laughs at Issei's remark before scoffing at him.
"Nonsense, normally I'd give her the opportunity to sacrifice her soul for salvation. I sound cruel but it's an act of mercy. It's so that we can live in Heaven forever, but with the truth out now I must at least inform her-"
Issei suddenly steps right in front of Quarta and grits his teeth.
"You clearly are no Seraphim."
Irina stops trying to correct her sister as she feels herself break out into a nervous sweat.
"You don't get it Issei. As angels we're helping correct Asia and convict her of her sins. We're only helping her in the long run. What if she-"
Issei finds himself able to knock Quarta over with rage in his heart. She looks up at Issei as his eyes begin to glow green.
"That's enough!"
Irina says as she draws her blade. Issei suddenly explodes into a burst of rage as Irina stands over her friend defending her.
"ISSEI NO!" Rias screams. "DON'T DO IT!" Akeno yells as Rodney prepares to interfere. "ISSEI STOP IT!" Irina yells. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL ASIA A WITCH! WHO THE HELL EVEN INVITED YOU TWO DOWN HERE?!" Issei yells.
"Yeah and she's sorry! LOOK IT'S NOT HER FAULT SHE'S JUST TRYING TO SAVE AS MANY SOULS! AS ANGELS WE CARE FOR ALL OF GOD'S CREATION!" Issei finds himself restraining his soul from bursting out.
"THEN WHY ARE YOU PERUSING SOMETHING THAT YOU KNEW ALL ALONG DIDN'T NEED PERUSING! YOU KNEW ASIA WAS FINE! YOU KNEW HER SOUL WAS SAFE! SO WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SUDDENLY TRYING TO PROVOKE HER?! You know what, screw off Quarta. You're all truth, and Irina is all compassion. So why don't you let Irina do more of the talking since truth never has any friends anyways!"
Quarta feels herself break into tears while Issei steps away. Irina and her nod before drawing their blades. Rias in that moment activates her ability as the rest of her household join her. Issei laughs as he holds out his arm out in front of his household.
"Aw cute, do you two really think you can kill me?"
The two look at each other, concerned and horrified as the rest of the House of Gremory does the same.
"We're sparring. We're a team now Issei!" One of the girls yell out.
"ISSEI CHILL OUT!" Yuuto yells.
"Look we're gonna interfere if you go nuts!" Rodney yells as Issei charges at the twin angels, feeling his rage take over as his arm acts for him. "You two better not hold back then!" Issei says as he charges at them with a psychotic laughter. Suddenly Quarta destroys the ground, causing even Irina to fall onto her butt as Issei leaps into the air and touches both of their shoulders. As Quarta's explosion leaves rumbles in the ground, Issei lands behind them and slides. Irina charges at him with her sword and swipes at his arm, he blocks her slash and gives her a backhand swing that sends her flying into Quarta. He then smiles as he raises his hand and snaps his fingers, feeling the thrill of death flow through his arm. The screams of millions of souls all enter his mind as a sudden explosion wipes the two angels onto the ground.
"IRINA!"
Jesus yells as he rushes to check on her, he also grabs Quarta and wraps his arms around the two.
"I've been dreading this since eternity. ISSEI!"
Jesus roars as Issei walks over to the three. However, something was still off. Issei was now not afraid of Jesus, despite being infinitely weaker than him, it was as if he was a rabid animal ready to fight another creature thirty times his size and a thousand times his strength. But this feeling only lasts for a second. "We're not play things for the Gods!" Issei roars with red glowing eyes. Everyone around him looked terrified as Issei's arm began to increase its power. "Issei, your arm! That demon is controlling you!" Rias yells as Issei turns around. "Not I, but we….." Issei utters as he looks back at Rias. One eye glows purple now as the other glows red, and the third eye on his head glows green, the original color of the red dragon. Rias sheds tears as Issei turns back to Jesus. "I know my child. And I'm sorry you've been hurt by my other creations, I truly am."
"Jesus's soft words make Issei power down. He loses his third eye as he looks down to see Irina and Quarta bruised up. "But is this the kind of leadership you want? Beating submission into your friends. I entrusted these two to you because these are some of the strongest heaven offers. These are I and the Father's very daughters."
Issei stood there with guilt as he dropped to his knees. "I'm sorry" he says painfully. He then looks down at the ground as he waters the grass with his own tears. "I can't keep doing this…" he wept bitterly before rising up again. He then turns around and begins to run. "ISSEI!" Irina yells as she reaches out her hand. Everyone however stops her. "It's alright" Jesus says. "Give the boy some space to reflect on his actions. I'll talk to him later." Jesus says as he departs from the group. "Rias, if everyone is up for it lets continue training. I will go talk to Issei." Rias smiles as she bows. Everyone else looks around at each other as they draw their weapons.
Behind the Occult Research building, Issei stood with pain in his chest. He leans against the wall as Jesus walks over to him.
"Is this the price I pay for wanting love in my life?" Issei asks as he looks over at the Lord. "Why do you ask that?" Jesus asks. "Because as soon as I get a girlfriend, she tries to kill me and drags me into this nightmare that is the metaphysical world we live in" Issei sighs. "Issei, you must think this through. Correlation is not causation. I have brought you out of a life of repeating misery and sin and into a position of power and royalty. Yet your only takeaway is the annihilation of my existence. You chase after the impossible and beat yourself up when you can't accomplish it."
"I never wanted any of this," Issei says as he looks up at Jesus. "I know, but it's not always about what you want now Issei. You'll thank me later for this."
"I'll thank you when you're dead," Issei said, spitting at the ground. "Even if you kill me, you think that'll defeat the demons?"
"I have to try. It's not like you're killing them all now! You either can't, or worse, you won't."
"You do not understand what I am doing now Issei-"
"NO!" Issei yells, interrupting. "I understand perfectly fine! YOU DON'T WANT TO! This is all some fucking funny joke you like to watch play out. I'm out here fighting YOUR WAR!" Issei yells as he gets close. "I just wish you never let it all get to this. I don't care about free will or your great plan! If we're happy, who cares about having a choice! I just want to be happy! And the reason why I'm so mad at you is because you seem to be fine with our suffering!"
"Just because I allow something does not mean I condone or enjoy something.
"You think I enjoyed dying Issei?"
Issei pauses for a moment as he looks at Jesus, seeing his scarred body and the holes in his hands. "Everyone loves to say the only thing I gave up was a weekend. It appears as though I really only died for one whole day. But Issei…" Jesus wraps his arms around Issei, embracing him tightly. "What you saw in Sunday school barely scratched the surface."
Issei finds himself relaxed as he wraps his arms around Jesus. "Even now as I talk to you, I am both in paradise after Satan's defeat, and still nailed to that dirty wooden cross, like a cruel mistress beating her lover." Issei takes a moment to look at Jesus as his face grew sad. "I am forever present in every moment, which means the pain I feel is constant and never ending. I am simply existence Issei. I am."
Silence grew as Issei took a moment to comprehend Jesus's words. "Where are you right now?" Issei asked. "Well right here" Jesus said back. "But where else?" Issei asked as he saw the blood sweating down from where Jesus wore a crown of thorns. Issei looked up to see him hanging on the cursed tree. To his right side, Lord Issei, and to his left, Iessi. The two screamed and yelled at one another, cursing and screaming with rage in their hearts and minds. They look down at Issei, taunting him about Rias before Lord Issei interjects, asking for salvation while Issei rejects it. Issei stood below in silence and horror.
"This, this is eternity…" Jesus said as he looked down at Issei with tears. "But I didn't want these two demons to win" Jesus said with a groaning pain. A sudden jab of a spear causes him to yell. "You were supposed to be here. Yet I begged to instead. I don't want to be here Issei, but I didn't want you here even more. It hurts Issei, this hurts so bad" Jesus wept as Issei looked around in horror, seeing all of his friends in the crowd either weeping or cheering.
"Oh God" Issei said as he broke down. "I didn't know… I….." Issei wept as he felt blood gushing out of Jesus. He looked up as he felt his chest tremble. "I'm so sorry!"
"I will be with you Issei! Always and forever. No one is going AWOL or rouge anymore! A man has been corrupted by Satan, and he is now the leader of the progressive church, he leads The Mercenaries. He is the one who's been attacking people all throughout your nation! His appointed time is near, and you will bring him to me for judgment. Whether he repents between now and then is up to him! Issei, his name is Freed Sellzen.
"Issei, if Yuuto can work with these two despite his distrust in the church, then surely you can put your emotions aside to help catch this madman!" With those words in mind, Issei returns to his room, imagining himself crucified with the worst parts of himself. He lets out a loud bitter cry as he falls to the floor.
That night everyone went home with an empty feeling inside. Something different settled in their spirits. This wasn't just within the house of Gremory. The whole world felt that as they witnessed the sun go down on a planet Earth oppressed by the spiritual realm.
"It's been a while since the wedding my boy."
A woman named Sarah said as she put on her mask, which resembled that of a rabbit. "But now it's time I free all of Shide" she said calmly as two buds sprouted from her back. They grow loose, turning into wings that flared with energy. Her eyes glow a dull black with red dilated pupils.
Meanwhile, Akeno laid restless that night. She tossed and turned until it could be done no more. She then finds her eyes awakened only to find her father standing over her bed.
"Father?"
She asks as she tries to reach out to him. He then sees her mother walk up and hug her father. The two embrace in their love until deities strike them down. She kept trying to reach out to her parents but could only hear their screams as they were being brutally murdered right before her eyes. She tried to power up to stop this brutal attack only to find someone pinning her to the bed. She looks up to see Yuuto holding a sword over her chest with killer eyes.
"You're all the same, now die, FOR MY FAMILY!"
Suddenly Yuuto strikes the sword, and as blood flies out from her chest Akeno awakens from her nightmare. She looks around as she places her hand over her heart, finding out it was all fake this whole time. She takes several deep breaths to try and calm herself down as she still felt the piercing blade through her chest. "We're a team now" she thinks to herself as she gets out of her bed. "I need to talk with them. This is too important to wait."
Later that night Rodney and Yuuto find each other on the same rooftop looking at each other confused. "Wait, this isn't a booty call?" Rodney asks as he looks at Yuuto. "I thought this was something important like a devil or something, sheesh man." Yuuto says to Rodney as the two see Akeno standing over a balcony with her hair flying to the wind. "I'm here" she says as she raises her hand. The two vigilante's at this point walk over to her. "What's the meaning of this, what's wrong?" Yuuto asks as he joins one side of her. Rodney took the other.
"Hey, you seem off? What's on your mind?" Rodney asks as Akeno sighs.
"I just, I had another nightmare tonight, and before I explain it to you I just want you to know that I'm only telling you this so that I don't build up an irrational fear of you."
"Ummmm, okay?" Yuuto says.
"But I had a dream where you held a blade over my chest Yuuto." As Akeno looks at Yuuto with her golden yellow gentle eyes, Yuuto chuckles. "Oh, well I know Issei was very easy to turn on the newcomers for what they said to Asia, but I think the rest of us are fine Akeno."
"No Yuuto!" Akeno said as she grabbed Rodney. "We're fallen angels! We're part of the same realm who manipulated Issei, who manipulated the mercenaries into doing what they did to you and your family!" Yuuto just looks at Akeno confused. Rodney blushes a little as he hugs Akeno back trying to act serious, being there for Akeno in her time of need.
"Akeno, do you really think I loop you in with them?" Yuuto asked.
"Well, if not me then surly my father as well, right? It's not like we havn't fought before" Yuuto chuckles a little more. "Well I'll admit yes, most fallen angels, even Rodney I've done the same thing to, but you've always been a devil to me Akeno. I was asking if you thought I'd loop you in now?" Yuuto then sighs as he looks off into the night sky. "Well we used to be devils. But it's better this way. You may be only half fallen angel, but your black wing will never be a sign of traitorship. You're a second generation, you can't help it. And Rodney is a clear alley, so to that I owe an apology to the both of you." A gust of wind blows some leaves as Yuuto takes a minute to pause.
"You know these past two months or so I've learned to mature as a person. And whether that's Christ being godman or something in my life, or if it's just me observing what's going on around me, I've learned that the real enemy is a lot easier to spot once you're awake. I was acting irrationally before. I was hurt, I still am. I carry around my past forever now."
He then turns to face the fallen angels.
"What I'm trying to say, is that I'm aware now that not every fallen angel has it out for me. I'll know the ones who do by the mention of the Holy Sword project. My prejudice won't land me into any more trouble. I won't let revenge hurt my friends or lead me astray. Thank you for this."
Yuuto then walks away from the two, who are left alone hugging under the stars. Yuuto heads back to his bed at his house when he sees Jesus standing at his doorway.
"That was good what you did there."
Yuuto smiles and nods as he brandishes a sword.
"Burgers? I'm starving, and I'm craving some greasy American cuisine tonight."
Yuuto asks, earning a nod of approval from God himself.
"Akeno, I have a question for you." Rodney asks as Akeno turns away from the balcony, where she overlooked a young boy and God jingling a pair of keys to the car they would use to drive to a fast food joint. She looks at Rodney for a moment with sweet wide eyes.
"Do you wanna......"
"Maybe go out some time?"
