As fire fights broke out, team Gremory and Sitri waited around, watching the madness from above as they all floated around ready to strike when the moment was right. Issei, Matsuda, Motohama, and Genshiro sat in classrooms learning for exams that they wouldn't have to take the next day, spying on schools they knew would soon be raided. However despite knowing this, school felt all the same. Everyone including the teachers all acted strange, so one by one they all took bathroom breaks, calling each other for a report.
"Hey, where's Yuuto?" Koneko asked Rias. She looks away in shame. "He's doing his own thing, he won't talk to us ever since he's left" Rias finds herself getting emotional as her devil wings continue to fly. What even are these things then on our backs. I feel sick knowing they were put on there by something greater than us. I hate this submissive feeling. I thought being free from Riser would make this go away, but it's only gotten worse." Rias continues to look down at the city as PSD continue to conduct their operations below.
Issei took a bathroom break, not even having to raise his hand to get up. He's weirded out by how no one is even "interacting" with him. Every face of each boy and girl was blank, either straight or with an eerie smile. Issei roams the hallways as he feels himself on the edge of attacking someone.
"We'll make the creatures after they're taken care of" A boy says in one classroom, catching Issei's attention.
"Those two losers we punked a while back. They're agents now. PSD, just what we needed. They're gonna be on our asses!"
Issei leans his head against the wall and listens in. "They're onto all of us so get these creature casts done or we'll be the ones done!"
"Look, our schools are allies for now. The PSD knows that they can't let mercenaries touch us and they have to attack in secret, using the mercenaries to cover it up so that once we're caught they can still look good. We know this to be true so let's take advantage. We're gonna use these creatures to attack the mercenaries and the PSD while they're fighting on our borders, and then when this is all over we can save casualties in our own little war."
"Whatever, just get it done we're on a time cru-"
Explosions from each fire fight outside the cities let everyone know the state of the conflict.
"Can school wide hypno spells last during explosions?!" One kid asks. "Only one way to find out!"
"Look, we're gonna need to act now. We'll save ourselves bodies to clean up from the second war and we can all join together as one now that those poor kids are gone. I personally think that we should be using those creatures to attack the PSD in our central city first and then the outskirts" Everyone nods in approval as Issei opens the door slowly.
"Meeting is a germ then!" The lead kid says as he walks into Issei, who's eyes are glowing a bright green. Everyone pulls out wands and gets on high alert as they aim them at the iron suited boy. They all watch as Issei turns onto the fearsome robot dragon they've heard of.
"Dragon dude, you were one of the kids we punked that day?!"
One kid said as his arm shakes.
"Why show your face, Dragon Dude?" One of the kids asks Issei, whose eyes turn like serpents as he smiles at them.
"Cause you're not gonna survive to tell anyone."
Issei asks as the boys all circle around him with their wands. "Issei, they struck first!" Issei hears Motohama's voice through an earpiece. The sounds of gunfire ring as Motohama dodges spells from the other kids. He then draws his sword as PSD agents fire their guns right next to his head. The earth shakes as a giant snake begins to emerge from the school's foundation, cracking through the concrete and slithering into the city.
"Issei we got a huge problem!" Motohama said as he ran out of the school through a hole. He lands on the ground, watching as the giant snake continues to grow and wrap itself around buildings, devouring people who may lie in its wake. "They're summoning large beasts. This entire county is a sacrifice!"
"Issei's eyes widened in horror as he delivered another heavy punch towards a kids face. He dodges each blow meant for him with ease. "For once its nice to fight people my own age" Issei thought. "So why did they have to ruin it with another city wide catastrophe?!"
Its sharp teeth from its jaw grew along with the rest of its body. Now Motohama found himself fighting something much greater, much more sinister than some mythical snake summoned by magic.
The Great Devourer
At this point a great lion made of red flames roars into the air, challenging the snake as the other two creatures burst out of their schools. The PSD within the center district looks around to see the lion and the snake roaring at each other.
The Raven from Ridgmont high charges up an electrical attack as its entire body is enveloped in electrical energy. It strikes the badger from the sky.
The badger from Tulip high roars back now growing into a giant to stand against its other three foes. All four beasts either stood or flew over their respective wards ready to pounce.
They all start to charge one another despite being attacked by the PSD. The carnage they unleash shakes entire buildings to the ground.
"Issei! That damn bird I couldn't shoot it down!"
Genshiro yells as he draws back his bow and turns into a fully suited dragon, just like Issei.
"I know it's fine. I saw Motohama running all around that snake like a swordsman fighting a titan and still not land a shot. We're gonna need to-"
"I GOT IT ISSEI!"
Motohama yells as he runs all round the giant snake's body, dodging attacks from it and other creatures right as he jumps where the head begins and the snake ends. He strikes down only to find that his blade can't cut through the spinal cord all the way.
"CRAP!"
Issei flies over and grabs him as the raven emerges from the flames and tries to do the same. It roars as Issei lands with Genshiro and Matsuda runs to meet them. They all turn around and watch the raven emerge from flames to fight the badger while the snake overwhelmed the flaming lion.
"I used all my weaponry and nothing! That badger just kept ripping at the others Issei. We both tore up the school, and it-"
Issei interrupts Matsuda and looks around.
We need to fight whatever is inside. That's our mission now!"
"HEY!"
One of the boys from Issei's assigned school yells as he and his gang walk over to the squad.
"We have unfinished business, boy!" he screams as he points his wand at Issei, who laughs at the whole group.
"Your little sticks can't do shit" Issei says as he reforms his gauntlet. Motohama and Matsuda join them. Genshiro stays behind as he manifests a bow, aiming it as he stands behind as support. Issei then cracks his knuckles as he and his two day ones approach the group of bullies. He looks at the leader as his eyes furrow with rage. "You assaulted my best friend" he says bitterly as Rias flashes through his mind. Without a second to waste, Issei punches the lead kid, fracturing his jaw as Motohama strikes another with his blade and Matsuda pulls out his rifle. The boys all engage in a brawl as the city around them crumbles. Issei grabs several by their necks as he begins to form his suit. Motohama dices one kids shirt as Matsuda finds his opponent surrendering to him.
Issei grabs a trashcan lid and throws it at another kid, Matsuda dodges it and lets the Frisbee hit the kid, knocking him out. He then tackles and pins another kid.
Motohama and his opponent at this point are boxing when suddenly Issei dodges a right hook from another kid. His punch lands on his ally as Rodney's tentacles smack the two. Rodney himself flew into the battle and kicked the two into a cake shop through the giant window. He then finds himself scaling up another building using his tentacles, crushing the metal and glass walls. Motohama finishes off his opponent as the three look around to find all five cities in flames.
"Fuck" Matsuda expresses. "This isn't an operation, it's a war" he says with frustration, watching with his two day ones as giant beasts clash with each other, causing city wide destruction. "How the hell are we gonna deal with them?" Motohama asks. "The only way we know how to" Issei says as the three all look up to see the madness above them unfolding.
"It's just us down here now"
Issei then looks up to see Rodney standing against a man who wore a weird clown-like mask mixed with elements of an opera mask. He wore priest attire and had tentacles similar to Rodney, but more squid-like stretching out of his back. "How the hell did the mercenaries get their hands on you?" Rodney asks as he stares at the sinister man, whose uniform was that of a collared priest.
The Father just stared at Rodney with his two glowing red eyes before striking. As Rodney dodges he remembers the attack pattern of The Father. Behind the sinister savior, were the bodies of more PSD agents.
"HEY I'M GONNA NEED SOME BACK UP GINSHI!"
Kuki, an agent among the PSD's elite counter Shide squad, said as he kept hacking at The Fathers tentacles with his blade. A solid steel lance that surrounded his left arm. Living tissue that pierced through concrete and steel like cake. His left eye glowed black and red, that of the devils they were hunting. Ginshi, another human shide hybrid, creates a giant cube like box made of hard muscle tissue and bones that fire blood clots with the capacity to explode like real bombs, pushing the priest devil back as the agents advance on him.
The Father detaches his tentacles to act as a distraction while he regrows them and holds back not only a giant hammer from another agent, but also the world's strongest, thickest, and gnarliest tail he's ever seen from a fourth agent. Its flesh was fair, with cracks exposing the muscular limb underneath it. All protruding from a woman who didn't even stand above five feet tall.
"You humans really are sick aren't you"
The Father says as he goes to strike at Ginshi. Suddenly a fifth agent arrives on the scene. Wearing a white suit with a grey tie, the new agent had tentacles that Rodney recognized as his own. Rodey, from afar, watches as this agent rushes over to strike The Father. He jumps over to keep this man and The Father at bay and away from Ginshi with his tentacles while the two separate parties now fight. This new agent turns to Rodney, noticing him as his subordinates advance towards the mercenary priest.
"Who are you?" The new agent asked with a brooding face. "Not someone who your agency has to worry about" Rodney responded back, hiding his terror as he looked down at a man wearing his face. "He's exactly like me, except calm and collected. As if following an order with nothing else in mind. He looks and talks just like me, even sounds just like me. Hell he even has the same wings as me." Rodney's mind raced as he looked down to see Issei, Motohama, and Matsuda charging towards one of the four beasts. "They can handle themselves" he thought as he looked over at his doppelganger.
"I have no business with you people" Rodney says to his identical.
"Not yet" he thought to himself, looking at the stranger.
Rodney suddenly lunges towards The Father, catching the other PSD agents off guard.
"Strange"
The doppelganger said as his crew turned their heads to see multiple APC's pulling up towards them. "Shit, those aren't ours!" he yells as his crew all activate their shide wings, taking bulletfire from fallen angel mercenaries.
"HEY HAISE WE GOT MORE COMPANY!" Kuki yells at his superior, getting him to focus back on the battle at hand. He zones back in as the world now watches the PSD fight against the mercenaries. "These kids were nothing but the brooms of evil men" Haise thought to himself. How unfortunate…"
"I'm heartbroken, you know"
The Father said to Rodney as they took a moment to catch their breath.
"To think a pupil of mine would create all of this. It's beautiful. He wages war on our father and the enemies of his enemy." The Father then takes off his mask, revealing the face of an old man, an average priest.
"Now I find myself running back to my student to serve him. The way things never should be." He then puts his mask back on to resume the fight, raising his fists as he begins to go into a predator stance.
"I heard what your student did to my friend. What a horrible creature you've raised." Rodney says as he too creates several more tentacles. "You brought another friend?" Rodney asks The Father. "Well I didn't wanna dwell in shame alone." Suddenly the entire building explodes, The Father goes flying to another rooftop as Rodney looks down below to see a massive clump of red muscle mass destroying the building. "The Professor, that's it, you two are the last of The Clowns!" Rodney says to himself as he creates a pair of wings. He looks to see the two fallen angels of Shide attracting attention, showing the world that they're back. The Professor was unlike most of the Clown gang. He stood with silver coated armor on his shoulders. He wore a black military uniform, wielding a blade in his left hand as a giant mass of dark red and purple tentacles erupted from his back. Half his face was covered by his long black hair. He smiled as one red eye glared back at Rodney. He laughs manically as he stands ready for battle, his devil eye nearly bulging out of the socket as he glares at Rodney.
Meanwhile Issei found himself brawling with a lion like Hercules while Motohama flew around the giant snake running along its long scaly green body cutting it up with his blade. The snake hissed and roared as Motohama found himself jumping off buildings and the snake's body itself, trying to find some kind of weakness to pierce his blade through. He slashes at its underbelly, only finding out that his actions just pissed it off even more. The snake rushes towards the giant badger and wraps itself around it while the raven tries to dive bomb onto the wrestling snake and badger. As its sharp claws pinch the thick skin of the snake, the house of Gremory and Sitri perform airstrikes on the snake, driving the bird away. Their attacks barely cause a scale to flake off.
"NO NO NO! LET THE RAVEN ATTACK IT!" Issei yells from below in frustration. His words fall on deaf ears. The badger and snake keep wrestling while Issei finds himself thrown into a building by the flaming lion. It roars at him as flames fly all around the city they're in, far away from the others. Issei creates two giant wings from his metal suit and roars back at the lion.
Irina and Quarta find themselves attacking the badger who's wrestling against the snake and losing. Matsuda arrives at the scene to see that Rodney is fighting against two familiar faces.
"Oh hell no! Not again!" Matsuda says to himself as he rushes over to Rodney. Meanwhile Irina and Quarta have stabbed the giant badger sufficiently as the two households above ease off the raven, allowing it to pick and claw at the wrestling snake. All three creatures are slowly killing themselves and allow the team to control the area. Issei flies over to the snake. Despite having two other creatures on top of its back, the snake unhinges its jaw and lunges at Issei.
"ISSEI!!!!!!" Rias yells from above. She and her team from the skies rush down towards the snake with urgency, fists first as they draw their weapons. Issei goes to a defensive position, bracing himself to get ready as the snake's jaws surround themselves around Issei. Suddenly, the snake hisses in anger as blood is drawn from its neck. The blade pierces through its throat as a boy with devil wings draws out another one, ready to stab it again.
"YUUTO!"
Rias yells as she rushes over to embrace him. Yuuto looks at her with frustration as the snake slams into a building. He escapes her grasp to go and stab it once more, leaving Rias in a state of hurt as she's suspended in the air. "RIAS! GET OUT OF HERE!" Yuuto yells as Issei finds himself tumbling onto the rubbled ground. He rolls and gets back into a wrestling pose as he tackles the lion, weakening it as he turns back and watches Yuuto continue to mutilate the giant snake.
"RIAS! Get back to the sky and wait for an airstrike!" Issei yells. "Yuuto's got this" Issei says with a smile as he looks over at Yuuto, who smiles back. On him was combat gear from a modern military uniform, yet his tactics were that of an old knight.
Issei finishes off the lion beast inside an office building. As he throws the heavy brute into some desks, he makes his way up a staircase to the roof of the building he was in. He looks out to see countless smoke stacks spreading further than the intended city section. "This raid isn't contained" Issei said into his earpiece. "We're aware" Motohama said back. "This is bad" Matsuda stated. "What's our assessment of the enemy?" Issei asked. "Four conjured beasts down. All five districts have been contained of alchemists within their schools, the primary source of this mess. We just have to clean up the area of mercenaries and-"
A roar interrupts everyone. It was loud and thunderous. Standing in front of the source of this noise was Rodney. "This can't be good," Issei says into his earpiece. He rushes over to the source using his ability to fly. The Professor stands on a rooftop with his arms stretched out before Rodney as a huge silhouette appears behind him. A creature with two big arms, and six to eight giant bug-like legs crawl out of the portal on the rooftop. It had one eye that stared at the group. This eye closed, revealing ten slits that also acted as eyes on each side of the big eye. They all glowed red. The creature's head had four.
"Guys! I need some assistance!" Matsuda screams as he keeps unloading his weapons onto The Father's detached tentacles, taking life of their own as they become mindless zombies. He throws a grenade that not only fries the next swarm of monsters, but sends The Father himself flying.
"LOOK OUT!"
Rodney screams as The Professor swings his blade on Matsuda. Matsuda however learned from sparring with Motohama how to avoid these kinds of attacks. He whips out a plasma pocket knife as the professor recklessly keeps swinging his blade. He then creates a giant storm of tentacles that hover over the area like a UFO. Red circles form within the mass that strike down red lighting towards the ground. Everyone else inside the cities are fighting the massive monster The Professor summoned. Rodney lands on a rooftop with The Father, whose eyes are glowing a blood thirsty red.
"Shit, they keep switching off! I can't keep track of this" Rodney thought as he began to attack The Father. "Oh son, you're privileged to have free thinking. I never did" The Father said as he creates a mass of tentacles and several minions as Rodney powers up with his own version of the same attack. "Bullshit, you're here right now doing all of this!" Rodney said back.
