The following week, Chase had not left her sight, even for a minute; he was attentive and left no room to argue.
"I don't want to go to your meeting."
"You're coming with me, Storm."
"Fine, but I'm not getting in, I will be waiting for you outside the boardroom."
"No, I need you to be next to me."
"You can see me from the boardroom, so why must I be inside?"
"We have gone through this already."
"This is ridiculous, Chase. How long do you think I can leave like this?"
"When we catch them, and you're not in danger."
"What if that does not happen anytime soon?"
"Then there is no choice left but for you to be next to me."
"You're ridiculous now."
"I'm ridiculous for being paranoid that the one person I care about the most might be snatched away from me."
Storm sighed; he seemed to be really worried for her. "I get it, Chase, I truly do, but I miss my friends too; this is not how I want to live."
"I know, but please, give me some time."
"Fine, I will."
"Really?"
"Well, if you ask me like that, how can I say no?"
"Maybe I should do that all the time."
She laughed, "It won't work all the time, mister."
"Are you sure you can resist this face?"
"You underestimate me."
"I don't, but your love for me makes me win."
"Ugh, why did I say that?"
He pulled her into his arms, "You can't take it back."
"Not fair."
"Really?"
He leaned down, but she blocked his lips, "Nope, that won't work on me."
"No, this is one of my main cards that I use on you."
"Chase." She laughed.
They finished getting dressed, and they started to make their way to his meeting. She did not know how ready she was to face everyone in there.
They got there and were surprised to find Kelsey outside.
She greeted them nicely and wondered if Chase's presence made her this way. More people filed in, and everyone was staring at her.
She knew that they were all wondering the same thing as to why she was here. Storm too felt the same way.
Yet Chase had insisted, and no one would question or defy him.
She watched him as he spoke; he was completely a different and colder leader than what she saw behind closed doors.
Storm was shocked that she was being turned on right now with him being authoritative. He sat down, and everyone was dismissed.
"Did you have to look at me like that the whole time?"
Color climbed into her face in a split second, "How was I looking at you?"
He stood up and took her hand, he lifted her on top of the table, and he stood in between her legs, he started to kiss her, and his hands went everywhere.
"Chase, stop, what if someone walks in on us?"
"Who cares?"
"I do.""Fine, but we will finish this later."
"I can't wait."
"Let's go then, or else I might forget and finish it here."
"Well then...….." She teased him, and he slapped her butt hard,
"Ohhhhhh........that was........"
Chase took her mouth again, and after a few delicious moments, she pushed him away, and his eyes were hooded with lust.
He took her hand, "We have to get out of here."
She nodded and followed him out, and they went to have lunch. She was glad that Chase had allowed her to sit with her friends as long as she was in eye view of them.
"Finally, we get to catch a glimpse." Said Meghan.
"She has finally graced us." Said Paige
Her friends often teased her, "I missed you, too, guys."
