Storm, Meghan, and Paige started to head back to Chase's place. There was a weird wind, and Storm wondered if she was the only one who felt it.
She couldn't hold it in any longer and turned to her friends.
"Do you guys feel that?"
"I thought I was the only one," Paige replied.
"I did not want to freak us out, but yes," Meghan replied, looking around.
"Let's get to Chase, and we will walk you back."
"That would be great. Let's speed up." Meghan replied.
They began to pick up their pace.
Storm let out a scream when she got hit but did not know from where. Meghan and Paige tried to run up to her, but they were struck, too, and she was afraid that they would kill them.
"If you come with us with no trouble, your friends won't get hurt."
Storm nodded frantically, tears spilled; she would do anything to save her friends. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if something happened to them because of her.
"Will they wake up?"
"Of course, we don't want them but you."
"You promise?"
"We never lie nor break a promise..."
They seemed to leave out a part, but she did not care at the moment.
She nodded and looked at her friends once more, in case this was the last time that she would see them.
How she would miss them.
"We don't have all day, Storm."
"Fine, I will come with you. Please leave them alone."
She was in a lot of pain and got up and started to follow whoever it was wearing a cloak. She tried to remember every step she took, but it felt impossible deep in the woods.
Everything seemed to look the same.
Storm hoped that Meghan and Paige would wake up and go fetch Chase; he would be able to do something.
Storm went to a place, and there were three figures that were wearing cloaks, and they stood in front of her. Was this some sacrificial ceremony?
Her eyes widened more in fear; no one would hear her at all. What was she going to do?
"What in the-"
"She is the Muraco we have been searching for."
She was surprised at the word; what did they mean?
"What do you want from me, and who are you?"
They removed their cloaks and were surprised to see that they had half black and half white hair, "Mystics." The one replied.
"What do I have to do with any of this?"
"We need you to come with us, Storm."
Wait, they knew who she was; of course they did, that's why they had kidnapped her. Her mind went back to Meghan and Paige, just hoping......…..
No, she needed to be strong and get as much info as she could; maybe they would explain why they had been so hell bent on her.
Why does she have white hair?
"How do you know my name?"
"We know plenty about you."
That made her sick to the stomach; strangers she didn't know, knowing her, that did not sit right with her.
Yet the biggest question was, what was their plan?
"What is it you want from me? You haven't answered that." She let out, trying to still her voice from shaking.
"You're the strongest wolf."
Storm scoffed in disbelief. if Chase heard them, he would be laughing, her and strongest being put together. "You're mistaken."
"We're not, We will help you harness your power; we need you to bear heirs for us."
"To do what now?"
"Our species can only be pure if we breed with a white wolf to get a full white Muraco wolf."
Breed, what was she to them? Just a human machine? To do what? She was not going to have sex solely to carry on some lineage.
Just the thought of it made her skin crawl, and she had to take a deep breath to calm down. Now, she needed to convey the message to them.
"I don't care as to what you need from me, I'm not having sex or bearing whatever it is." She spat out.
They didn't seem to be fazed by her words, and they too didn't seem as if they were going to back down.
"We are going to give you time to leave your friends, and if you don't come with us, then we won't have any other choice but to take you by force."
Give her time? Who did they think they were? To force her to do something? No, Chase wouldn't allow it to happen. She had Chase, and he could do something.
Her head spun. What if Chase couldn't stop them? and Storm needed more answers, but now, she had to face the situation at hand.
"You are all sick! I'm not going to do anything against my will. I would rather die first!"
"You don't have to worry. Nothing involving intimacy will be forced upon you; you will cultivate with one of our males."
Oh great, more absurd things she didn't understand being added on,
"What does cultivate mean?"
"It means you will be given a chance to get to know him and to create a bond."
Wow, lucky her, they were giving her more options to what essentially was boiling down to her being a breeder at the end of the day.
"I'm sorry, but I have a boyfriend, and I refuse whatever this cultivate and all that means."
"You will have to leave him."
Leave him as if it were that simple, and in what right mind did they think Chase would let her go?
"I'm not leaving him or anything."
"You will, and may we tell you how great your rewards will be for completing the cultivations."
Yup, definitely a breeder, but she didn't care about the gifts or whatever offers they had.
"What times do you all think we leave in?"
"We will help you realize your powers. You are our only last hope, Storm, and you will not regret it."
"Thank you for your offer, and just as I said, leave me alone, and if I change my mind, I will be sure to let you know."
"You should know that......."
"Stop. Don't tell her that; now is not the time."
"Tell me what?"
"You will find out."
"Find out what exactly? What are you planning?"
"As we said, now is not the time."
Storm felt trepidation. What did they mean?
"If you touch anyone that I care about, I will not hold back."
"We won't hurt anyone whom you care about."
Storm nodded. "You better be telling the truth."
"The only person we are interested in is you."
"You have to keep your word."
"I'm afraid that our time has come to an end, and we will see you again."
Storm was confused, She wanted to ask them more questions, or maybe buy some time.
"What do you......"
They disappeared in a flash. How had they done that? What did they mean........ She wanted to scream for them to wait, to come back.
Everything seemed to be a dream, and everything was a haze in her mind,
"STORM!"
She turned to Chase's voice.........…
