Raye opened the door slowly to meet a worried Jane ,who turned immediately to at the sound of the door .
"Where were you ?" She suddenly asked while Raye sighed tiredly before slumping on the couch.
Jane peeked through their window just in time to see the car drive off .
She turned back to Raye with a speechless and shocked face, gulping softly she asked .
"Who dropped you off in that slick ride ...isn't that Ford mustang GT " .
Raye glanced at Jane before shutting her eyes close .
"Girl give me full gist , don't tell me, taxi guys drive that now ".
Raye stared at Jane who was pouting waiting for her to talk she yawned too tired to start the whole explanation.
Cause it was very long night to begin with .
"Jane tomorrow I will explain , but the car isn't a cab but Kyle_ he dropped me off ".
Jane mouth hung open .
What !!!
that car was Kyle she thought gulping softly she quickly followed Raye who had reached her door .
"Raye , that's um ...WHAT ".
Geez Raye thought shutting her eyes closed at Jane sudden out burst .
" Yeah Jane it's a Ford mustang GT ..yeah it is .... I was practically shocked just like you are now ....maybe a little " Raye muttered the other part to herself .
That was true though she didn't scream like she was auditioning for how to _ destroy someone's EARDRUM!!!
Jane snorted crossing her hand on her chest , huffing quietly .
"Fine you go rest but you are giving me the full gist tomorrow ".
"Yes Jane good night ".
"Good night Raye ".
Raye woke up to sunlight stabbing straight through her eyelids and Jane's voice blasting through her room like a human alarm clock.
"Wake up, you emotionally unavailable Disney extra!" Jane shouted, tugging at Raye's blanket. "I called you three times last night, and your phone said 'Kyle's Mustang'! You better not have died of romance!"
Raye groaned, burying her head under the pillow. "Jane, go away. It's too early for your—whatever this is.".
Raye peeked out one eye to look at Jane who was walking back and forth in her room .
She wondered how she got in , but later decides not to over think it ...maybe the door was open .
She had a bad habit of forgetting to do things ... especially things related to doors .
Yeah and also she should have asked Kyle to park somewhere far away from her house ..now look at what had happen .
Jane is a sucker for cars especially the good ..fine classy ones .
She literally knew their names and it was kinda of creepy too .
"Oh no, no, no," Jane said hands on her hip , cutting through Raye thought who growled covering her face in the blanket. "You don't get to sleep after being dropped off in a literal billionaire car. You think I didn't notice that slick ride parking outside? I almost fainted. You could've at least sent me a text that said, 'Jane, I'm alive but emotionally confused.'"
Raye sat up slowly, hair a messy disaster, wearing Kyle's oversized long-sleeve shirt. Jane froze mid-rant.
Raye stared at Jane who wasn't looking at her but her eyes was directed on the shirt she was wearing.
She sighed - here goes another one .
"…That's not your shirt."
Raye blinked. "It's—uh—"
Jane gasped so loudly the neighbors probably heard. "RAYE YOU DIDN'T."
"Jane, calm down!" Raye said, flustered. "He just— I was drenched, okay? He lent me his shirt!"
Jane gasped again ,with eyes wide open and a grin .
Damn she didn't notice the shirt yesterday cause she was worried and then the car ....
"Oh, sure, that's how it starts," Jane teased, leaning against the wall dramatically. "Next thing you know, you're washing his hoodies, cooking him breakfast, and calling him 'babe' while wearing his T-shirt that smells like expensive shampoo and bad decisions!"
Raye threw a pillow at her. "You're insane."
Jane dodged it easily, laughing. "So what actually happened? And don't you dare say 'nothing' because your face looks like someone who's replayed a moment exactly seventy-three times in her head."
Raye sighed, flopping back onto the bed. "Fine. We… might've kissed."
Jane froze again. "MIGHT HAVE? Girl, what does 'might have' mean? Did you trip and accidentally land lips-first? Did you sneeze and your mouth made contact?"
Raye covered her face. "It just—happened, okay? The rain, the whole storm thing, his stupid face—it just happened."
Jane shrieked into the pillow Raye had thrown on the floor like she'd just won the lottery. "YOU KISSED KYLE?! And gosh he didn't make the first approach for once ".
Raye sat up running her fingers through her hair , embarrassed but also laughing. "Please stop yelling, my ears are still ringing from the thunderstorm!"
Jane wiggled her eyebrows. "You kissed the thunder, girl. Don't lie."
Raye rolled her eyes but couldn't help the smile tugging at her lips. "He took me to his house 'cause the rain got crazy, okay? He gave me dry clothes and then left. End of story."
Jane dramatically threw herself on the bed. "He gave you dry clothes and left? Raye, that's literally the most emotionally repressed romantic scene ever. You're living in a Wattpad chapter."
Raye snorted. "You're unbelievable."
Jane poked her shoulder. "No, you're unbelievable. Miss 'I hate him' turned into Miss 'I kissed him in the rain.'"
"I didn't say I hate him," Raye muttered.
"Yeah, yeah," Jane said, stretching. "And I didn't fail my chemistry test yesterday. Oh wait— I did. Horribly. " Jane added after a pause ,she continued .
"I think Mr. Leon actually sighed when he saw my paper. Not even a disappointed sigh—like a hopeless one."
Raye burst out laughing. "You probably wrote a love letter instead of an answer."
She couldn't help but shake her head in disbelief while laughing .
Chemistry definitely was the worst .
To think Jane had practically rushed to the place - and ended up flunking it hard .
"Please," Jane said proudly. "At least my handwriting was pretty. You, on the other hand, are out here writing your own fanfic with Kyle."
Raye tossed another pillow at her again. "Shut up."
Jane ducked, grinning. "No, for real though—are you gonna tell him how you feel? Or are you planning to act like it didn't happen?"
Raye hesitated. "I don't even know how I feel. It's confusing. One second, I want to punch him, and the next…"
"You want to kiss him again?" Jane teased sitting upright on the bed .
Raye glared. "…I was going to say walk away."
"Sure," Jane said, smirking. "Walk away… lips first."
Raye hit her with another pillow, both of them laughing so hard that they nearly rolled off the bed.
Jane finally sat up, brushing her hair out of her face. "Okay, okay. But real talk—this might actually mean something. Kyle doesn't do 'accidental kisses.' He barely does eye contact."
Raye sighed softly, her smile fading just a bit. "Yeah… I know."
Jane reached over and nudged her. "Then figure it out, sunshine. You can't hide forever. Also, please text me next time you're stuck in the rain with a potential soulmate. I need updates for emotional support."
Raye chuckled. "You're so dramatic."
"Me? Dramatic?" Jane gasped, clutching her chest. "I'm just living for your romantic chaos. You got the spotlight , babe."
Raye smiled faintly, glancing down at the shirt she was still wearing.
"Spotlight or not," she murmured, "I think I'm in trouble."
Jane grinned. "Good. That's where the fun starts."
Raye stared at Jane who laughed out walking out of her room .
"Whatever shall I do with this girl " she muttered flopping back into her bed with a yawn .
