After Rimuru's Paralyzing breath wore off, both Scarlet and Yang were free to move about. Rimuru glanced at Scarlet before speaking up.
"Sorry about that, I had to do it to stop you two from killing each other." Rimuru spoke as the demon lord crossed their arms. "You changed your appearance since the last time I saw you...but I can also tell you went through hell recently."
Scarlet closed her eyes as she was silent, she bit her bottom lip as she turned her head away. "You're getting on my last nerves Tempest." She sighed and opened her eyes. "But yes, you are right."
Yang who was standing off to the side and repairing her robotic arm. Listened to what Scarlet had went through.
"So I am huh? What was it?" Rimuru asked with a curious tone in their voice.
Scarlet scoffed under her breath. "I lost control of myself."
Yang let out a mocking laugh. "Lost control? Please, you're a fuckin Grimm for crying out loud. What control do you have."
Scarlet ignoring what Yang said, she continued to speak. "The inner Grimm within me took control. I was trapped within my own mind. The me that took over, called herself Primal. But I was able to regain control after a long while. With some help of course."
Rimuru nodded lightly. "I see, Primal must've been strong. Strong enough to keep you prisoner in your own body. But, at least you were able to regain control of your body."
Yang wanted to say something but didn't, her eyes scanning over Scarlet. She could tell what she had said was the truth and not a lie. She reattached her robotic arm, she walked towards Scarlet and was about to do something.
Scarlet took notice as she was about to prepare herself for combat, but her breath hitched in her throat as Yang embraced her in a hug. Scarlet wasn't expecting this. Not from Yang of all people. "W-What the fuck are you doing?"
Yang didn't say anything, she hugged Scarlet tighter, but she did mumble under her breath. "Shut up, idiot."
Scarlet had her arms up, she didn't know if she should return the hug or not, but this was a first. She looked towards Rimuru who just snickered quietly to themselves.
"Look alive folks." Akira spoke as he walked over to the group. "Just got word that there's an army of armed Ogre's off towards the south, making their way east."
"And what's towards the east?" Rimuru asked with a raised an eyebrow up.
Akira crossed his arms. "A kingdom that's on its last limbs of hope. "We need to get there fast and quick before the army shows up. But...." He turned his gaze to the jeeps. "The damn jeeps broke down, and their being fixed on."
Rimuru knew where this was going. "And you're wanting to send us?"
Akira nodded lightly. "Yeah, Rory and the others can't tag along to help, Yoji seems to think the Orge's are a distraction from the actual threat."
Yang had let go of Scarlet as she looked at Akira. "Meaning, the actual threat could be this base." She cracked neck, and did some stretches. "I'm itching for a fight." She turned around and started walking away. "Hope you don't mind if I borrow this horse here do ya?"
Akira shakes his head. "No, by all means, whatever feels quicker for you to get there faster. Be my guest."
Yang climbed up onto the horse back as she looked towards Rimuru and Scarlet. "Shall we get going?"
Scarlet was a bit peckish, the thought of sinking her teeth into some Orge meat was tempting. She licked her lips as she smirked. "As long as I get to eat them after." She sprouted her Nevermore wings as she flew inches off the ground.
Rimuru also sprouted a set of wings as well, it was the perks of being a demon lord after all. "Let's go then."
Yang kicked the horse's sides gently as the horse galloped off, both Rimuru and Scarlet flew through the air as they went past Yang, who was keeping up on horse back.
"Huh, so she can grow wings as well..." Yoji muttered to himself. "That's not terrifying at all..."
~~~
"So, is it true?" Rimuru asked as they flew next to Scarlet.
Scarlet raised an eyebrow up as she looked towards Rimuru. "Is what true?"
"You have a kid." Rimuru spoke, glancing back at the Grimm girl. "If I had known your wife was pregnant at the time when you and I fought. I would've helped you after our last encounter."
Scarlet was silent, she looked away as she glanced down towards Yang, but then back to Rimuru. "Yeah, I do. That's why I'm doing all this....White Queen kidnapped her the first time, but she's back home, however. Things back home aren't safe."
"What do you mean?" Rimuru asked. "I just assumed, you were doing all this dimensional traveling for the fun of it."
Scarlet shook her head a little. "No, Queen may be able to tear rifts in space and time. But there's one thing she did that isn't making living back home for my wife or daughter safe. My mother, Salem. She's ruling over them with an iron fist."
Rimuru seemed to go silent after hearing that, but then spoke. "Oh I see....so, you're trying to find out where Queen is to end her. And then when you get back home, you'll take care of your mother?"
"That sums it up." Scarlet spoke.
Yang over hearing the two talking, the blonde brawler spoke up. "So if it wasn't for what Queen had done, everything would've been fine."
Scarlet shot Yang a dirty glare from above. "Perhaps, but I'd still be General Ironwood's prisoner."
Yang didn't look up, her focus was on the path ahead. "Not true, Uncle Qrow was able to escape his jail cell, this was after you had left. Everything else just went down hill from there however." Yang brought the horse to a halt as Rimuru and Scarlet floated in the air. "Looks like the path ahead is blocked off."
Scarlet smirked. "It may be, but you're forgetting who can fly." She flew ahead to see what was causing the road block. "Huh....well now."
Scarlet flew up high and then dived down behind whatever was blocking the path. Yang and Rimuru waited there as they heard screams and other deathly sounds. Then, Scarlet flew up. Drenched in blood as she licked her lips clean. "That's taken care of."
"What did you do?" Yang asked. "You know what, no...I don't want to know. If the path is clear, we can move." She gently kicked the horses sides as the horse began to move.
Scarlet waited over head for Yang and Rimuru. Once the two started to move forward, Scarlet crossed her arms and watched them. "There shouldn't be any problems along the way, just be wary of the corpses."
Yang's face paled at those words. She's seen enough death in her life. Just to be reminded of what to watch out for, made her stomach churn with sickness. Once Yang and the horse went through the path, the horse was spooked, but Yang calmed it down as it made its way through the dead bodies. "Geez, you're a messy eater."
"Who or what was here?" Rimuru muttered to themselves, and not to Yang or Scarlet. "The bodies look like imperial soldiers and Demi-Human monsters.."
Scarlet didn't answer that question, she had her fill for the time being. She could feel herself regaining strength but slowly. "That bunch didn't seem to help much. I still need to feed."
"Of course you do." Yang said with a sassy tone.
~~~
Once the three arrived. Sure enough, there was an army of armed Ogres. Scarlet chuckled under her breath, she licked her lips and smirked.
"Dinner time." Scarlet purred as she flew forward and dove straight into the middle of the Ogres. Yang and Rimuru rolled their eyes as they charged in. Yang jumped off the horse and loaded a few shotgun shell rounds into some Ogres blocking her path.
"Eat lead ugly!" Yang barked.
Rimuru landed off to the side as they swung their sword at the Ogre army, paralyzing some with the paralyzing breath. Scarlet on the other hand, was tearing through the army like they were nothing but butter. She smirked as she ate the organs of the Ogre's, smashing their heads in with a single stomp from her foot.
"Oh yeah, her strength is back." Yang muttered as she punched an Ogre in the face.
Once the last remaining Ogre's were dealt with, Scarlet chowed down on the bodies. Rimuru had taken the lead, making their way forward. They scanned the kingdom for a brief moment before speaking. "I don't see anyone, it's almost like it was abandoned."
Scarlet, swallowed the last bit of Ogre, wiped her mouth clean. "There's life. I can smell them." She walked toward's Rimuru as Yang came up from behind on horse back. "Over there." The Grimm girl pointed to a bar that was barricaded up.
Rimuru nodded as they took one step forward into the kingdom. "Hello?! It's safe to come out now!"
Silence, Yang got off the horse as she scanned around. "Hey! We're not here to hurt anyone!"
Nothing, silence filled the air once more, Scarlet scoffed as she made her way into the kingdom, she went towards the bar and broke off one of the wooden boards off the door, she pushed the door opened. Light shines in as she sees something. "Holy fuck. Hey dip-shits. Help me pull these off."
Rimuru and Yang hurried over, the horse trotting over behind Yang. Both of them were curious as to what Scarlet had seen, but once they both helped her pull off the remaining wooden boards. Yang gasped.
"Dear Oum...." Yang muttered quietly.
Inside the bar, was a pile of bodies, on top of the bodies was the bar tender. The bar tender turned their gaze towards the three. "I-I didn't have a choice....I-I had to...."
Yang took a step forward, but Scarlet blocked her with her arm. She sniffed the air, her crimson red eyes glowing with hunger. "It's a trap."
Yang raised an eyebrow up, but she noticed Rimuru nodding in agreement. "A trap?"
The bar tender stopped stuttering as they began to laugh. "Oh, and here I was hoping to drag you three into my own games." The bar tender shifted and morphed into a woman. "How did you know? Wait don't tell me....one of the Ogres snitched."
"Who are you? What did you do to these people?" Yang asked.
The woman chuckled. "My name is Norra, and I'm your end...." Norra smirked as she licked the blade of her curved knife.
