The group continued eating for another half an hour, and Emma Benson was feeling very full, holding her belly and sighing, too stuffed to eat another bite.
She finished the last sip of her orange juice and gently patted her stomach, thinking to herself: No wonder she could eat so much back in Brazil; it turns out the little one inside wanted to eat!
"Sister-in-law, aren't you afraid of gaining weight, eating like this? It's only been a little over a month, won't you eat even more later on!?" Fiona Schmidt smiled with her eyes squinted, staring at her belly.
Emma Benson shook her head, "Not afraid, if I gain weight, so be it. As long as the baby is healthy."
She said, getting up, intending to take a walk to help digest.
The men were still chatting, engrossed in their conversation. Besides drinking, they hadn't eaten much.
Walter Schmidt saw her get up and was ready to accompany her, but Emma Benson stopped him: "You stay and chat with Dad, I'm fine on my own..."
