In the Chaos Realm, Ren and Evie had expected thunder to greet them.
They had imagined deafening cracks of lightning splitting a gloomy sky, rivers of blood staining the ground, and an intricate crystal coffin resting atop a dark podium—candles scattered everywhere, their flames flickering like dying souls. They expected dread, pressure, and an overwhelming sense of danger.
Instead, they stepped into something completely different.
Golden sunlight poured down from a clear sky. Fields of flowers stretched endlessly around them, their colors vivid and alive. A warm breeze brushed against their skin, gentle and comforting, carrying the sweet scent of blooming petals.
Butterflies fluttered lazily through the air, and birds chirped from unseen branches, their songs weaving together into something almost musical.
Ren blinked.
Evie froze.
"…This is . . . the Chaos Realm?" Evie asked quietly, as if afraid the scenery would shatter if she spoke too loudly.
