The structure of the Mad Lab looked like a collection of houses stacked on top of one another, rising unevenly toward the sky. From afar, it felt chaotic, but the closer they got, the more deliberate its design appeared.
The entire building was clearly inspired by steampunk aesthetics.
Bronze-plated walls reflected faint flashes of lightning, giving the structure a dull metallic sheen. Gears of various sizes were embedded into the outer walls, some slowly turning while others were frozen in place, rusted by time. Thick pipes snaked along the surface, releasing faint hisses of steam that vanished into the cold night air. Every corner of the building was decorated with mechanical ornaments, making it look less like a laboratory and more like a madman's twisted masterpiece.
The Mad Lab stood proudly atop a hill at the center of the island.
