After a long, exhausting trek through what they jokingly called "Tentacle Town," Ren and the rest finally stepped into yet another chamber inside Jibblinplip. Compared to the previous horrors, this place looked calmer—almost peaceful, with soft steam rising from a giant pool of warm yellow liquid.
That illusion shattered immediately.
The heat alone made the air waver. The acrid smell was strong enough to burn the inside of their noses. And the floor around the pool hissed with a faint acidic crackle.
The tentacles had been horrible, but this… this was worse.
On top of that, Sebastian was nowhere to be seen, and the Princess seemed to have been thrown into another section entirely. Their two best guardians were gone. Only two Generals and a handful of soldiers remained to guide them.
