Jibblinplip's lair was its own massive, bloated body—an enormous cavern of pulsing jelly walls, shifting membranes, and faintly glowing veins. Every step they took felt like stepping deeper into a living creature, one that breathed in slow, unsettling waves and shuddered beneath their feet.
"The only way to kill Jibblinplip," Sebastian began, his hooves echoing in the sticky chamber, "is to find the single, original mote of ooze. It lies in the absolute heart of the creature. Tear it out, then banish it back to where it came from."
"Banish it?" the Princess asked sharply while the armies checked the path ahead, searching for traps. "Can't we just kill it?"
Sebastian shook his head. "It cannot be killed in this plane. If you try to destroy it normally, it will simply shrink into a microscopic size and flee. Eventually, it will consume everything again, and we'll be back at the beginning."
"That's… horrifying," someone muttered.
