Two nights? Ragnar's brows furrowed as he counted on his fingers. "So… we can't finish this quest today?"
"Nope," Ren replied with a wry sigh. "We'll need at least a week in real time. And that's assuming everything goes smoothly."
Ragnar groaned. "A week? Just for a side quest?"
Ren rubbed his temple. "It's not a side quest. It's an endurance test disguised as one." He exhaled sharply. "Add the four-hour daily time limit, and it's basically a part-time job."
The thought of spending that much time with Ragnar without any return made Ren's stomach churn. But when his eyes flicked toward Evie, calmly standing beside them, his annoyance melted a little.
At least there was one reason this quest was bearable.
"What do you say, warrior?" Sharina's slit green eyes gleamed with pride and challenge.
Ragnar muttered under his breath, "Do I have a choice?"
Ren's elbow found his ribs.
"Yes," Ragnar quickly corrected himself, straightening up. "We'll accept."
