The Jumper asked. From the way he phrased the question, I knew they hadn't started the construction yet. For once, luck was on my side.
[It's a grand structure, rising up for over a hundred meters,] I explained, my fingers flying across the interface as I stood on the roof of the chariot, scanning the horizon.
[You'll be able to see it even from miles away. It should look like a tall, slim staff or a needle positioned exactly in the centre of the triangle zone they control between the three cities.]
[Oh, they definitely haven't started building anything like that as far as I can tell,] he replied. [The centre is just a massive staging ground right now.]
I paused for a minute, my mind racing through the archives of my past knowledge. The pieces were starting to fit together into a picture that was increasingly terrifying.
[What's that tower anyway?] The Jumper pushed. [And why are these harmless-looking balls related to a building? Are they foundations?]
