"What the fuck is he doing here?" Stepping in front of me, Ivan growled.
'Oh no.'
With the twins beside him, Hector casually sat on the hood of Ivan's truck as though it belonged to him.
'And things were going so well.'
I knew Hector was coming, but why did he have to sit on Ivan's truck? It was a power move, but not one anyone appreciated. The twins at least had the decency to stand beside the cars.
"Sarah sent him." I grabbed Ivan's arm, knowing it was a futile attempt at keeping the peace.
There was nothing to stop him from moving.
"Why?" The changes in our relationship were too fragile. The tension between us eased, but Ivan's paranoia remained. Hector had been the primary antagonist yesterday, and it wasn't something my mate would forget.
"She was going to send some things before we left." I hadn't had the chance to mention it last night with everything going on, but I know how it looked now. "For my magic."
