Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

The heavy gate slid open with a deep, grinding sound, metal scraping against metal like an exhausted beast being forced awake. A cold current of air rushed out from within, carrying with it the mixed stench of disinfectant, rust, and something far more unpleasant—the faint, lingering odor of death that no amount of sterilization could fully erase.

Jack and Alice stepped inside.

What appeared before them caused even Alice's normally steady expression to stiffen.

Rows upon rows of surgical tables filled the enormous chamber. Every table was covered with a plain white cloth, laid neatly, as if someone had tried to preserve a sense of order and dignity. But beneath the cloths were corpses—dry, shriveled, and horrifyingly thin. Some hands protruded from under the fabric, fingers curled unnaturally, skin clinging tightly to bone. These were not fresh bodies; they had been drained, consumed, and discarded like useless containers.

The silence in the room was suffocating.

At the far end stood a massive electronic screen, tall and wide enough to block their entire field of vision. Its dark surface reflected their silhouettes faintly, making the space feel even more oppressive, as though the room itself were watching them.

Jack and Alice exchanged a brief look.

Neither spoke.

They walked forward together.

As their footsteps echoed across the white floor, the electronic screen began to rise slowly. A low mechanical hum filled the chamber, vibrating through the soles of their boots. As the first screen lifted, another appeared behind it, then another—layer after layer—like curtains peeling back to reveal a stage prepared long ago.

Through the final screen, the figure behind it was revealed.

A man sat casually atop a raised platform, legs crossed, posture relaxed to the point of arrogance. He wore dark sunglasses despite the artificial lighting, his face calm and indifferent, as though nothing in this world could surprise him anymore.

Albert Wesker.

Alice's lips curved slightly, a dangerous calm settling into her eyes.

"Wesker," she said lightly. "We finally meet."

"You came," Wesker replied, his voice cold and measured. "I was wondering how long it would take."

Jack tilted his head, openly examining him from head to toe.

"Cold expression, sunglasses indoors," Jack said lazily. "You really do look like a final BOSS."

Wesker stood up slowly, the corners of his mouth lifting faintly.

"Jack," he said. "I've studied you for a long time. Many of my plans were built around you."

Jack shook his head with visible disgust.

"Don't say such creepy things," he replied. "Daddy doesn't swing that way."

A low, rumbling growl echoed behind Wesker.

From the shadows, two zombie dogs stepped forward. Their bodies were twisted by mutation, muscles bulging unnaturally beneath torn flesh. Their eyes glowed faintly as saliva dripped from rows of jagged teeth.

"Stop," Wesker said calmly. "Sit."

The dogs halted instantly and sat down obediently on either side of him, like trained pets.

Alice's eyes narrowed slightly. Even she hadn't expected that level of control.

"Ha—ha—ha!" Jack suddenly burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.

Wesker turned his head toward him.

"What are you laughing at?"

Jack wiped at his eyes exaggeratedly.

"Now I finally understand why people call you a 'dog uncle,'" Jack said. "You really do look like two sons of bitches sitting beside you."

The temperature in the room seemed to drop.

"You should understand," Wesker said coldly, his voice suddenly heavy with pressure, "those words will cost you."

Jack's expression turned sharp.

"Anyone who acts pretentious in front of daddy ends up dead," he said flatly. "You think you'll be an exception?"

"Jack," Wesker said slowly as he stepped forward, "I know you are not ordinary. You successfully fused with the T-Virus, just like Alice."

"So?" Jack replied.

"But I am stronger."

Jack clapped his hands together.

"Nice speech. Very villain-like."

"As long as I eat you," Wesker continued, his eyes glowing with ambition, "I can permanently solve the control issue and become complete."

Jack laughed again.

"Sorry," he said. "I really couldn't hold it in. You look perfect in BOSS mode, but everything you say sounds unbelievably stupid."

In the next instant, Jack vanished.

He reappeared directly in front of Wesker and drove his fist straight into Wesker's face.

The impact thundered through the chamber.

Wesker slammed into the wall behind him, concrete cracking under the force. His sunglasses shattered, fragments scattering across the floor.

The zombie dogs lunged instantly.

Jack disappeared again, reappearing several meters away.

"Alice," he said casually, "these two bugs are yours."

Alice moved without hesitation.

Wesker stood up slowly, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. His eyes glowed a deep, furious red.

"Jack," he said, "you've angered me."

"What's the big deal?" Jack shrugged.

Wesker vanished.

He appeared directly in front of Jack, fist already swinging.

Jack caught his wrist.

Wesker reacted instantly, lifting his leg and kicking Jack squarely in the abdomen.

Jack flew backward, crashing across the room, skidding to a stop only after smashing through several surgical tables. He stood up slowly, dust falling from his clothes.

Wesker vanished again.

This time he appeared to Jack's left, launching another powerful kick.

Jack blocked, twisted his body, and countered with a brutal punch to Wesker's face.

"Ah—!"

Wesker was sent flying into the wall again. Three teeth clattered onto the floor, and a bright red handprint bloomed across his face, completely destroying his composed image.

"You're impressive," Jack admitted, walking toward him. "I'll give you that."

"I underestimated you," Wesker growled.

"People who lose always say that," Jack replied lightly.

Both vanished simultaneously.

Bang!

A violent shockwave erupted as they collided mid-air. The floor cracked, metal screamed, and debris scattered outward.

Wesker was thrown back, rolling across the ground.

Jack straightened calmly.

"When you clash head-on with someone tougher than you," he said, "you suffer."

"We both use the T-Virus," Wesker said as he stood again.

"Yes," Jack replied, his pupils shifting subtly. "But mine is superior. Wesker—stop struggling. Die obediently."

A massive invisible force surged outward.

Wesker was slammed into the iron wall again before he could finish speaking.

Jack turned and walked toward Alice.

Behind him, Alice raised her gun.

Bang!

The shot rang out.

Wesker's skull exploded behind Jack.

Jack turned, blinking.

"Alice," he said, amused, "you saved me? That's unscientific. Didn't you want to kill me?"

"Right now killing you benefits me less," Alice replied flatly.

Wesker's body twitched violently.

His mouth split open, stretching into a grotesque, flower-like shape filled with sharp teeth.

Jack kicked him aside instantly.

Gunfire erupted.

Claire, Chris, and Luther stood at the corner, weapons blazing.

Wesker's body was riddled with bullets. His skull was completely destroyed. This time, he did not rise again.

Jack clapped slowly.

"Congratulations," he said. "You defeated the big BOSS."

He spread his hands casually.

"The matter is settled. Everyone should leave happily now."

Suddenly—

ROAR—!

A terrifying roar shook the entire facility.

The walls trembled. The lights flickered.

Every person froze.

Something far worse had awakened.
