Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

On a desolate hillside, the cold wind swept endlessly across the frozen ground. Sparse rocks jutted from the earth like broken teeth, and the sky above was dull and heavy, pressing down with a suffocating weight. In the next instant, space itself seemed to ripple.

Two figures appeared.

Alice stumbled forward several steps, barely steadying herself before she straightened. Her breath was uneven, and her eyes burned with restrained fury as she looked at the man before her.

Jack stood casually, hands relaxed, as if nothing unusual had happened.

"What exactly did you say to Claire?" Alice asked coldly. Each word was sharp, forced through clenched teeth.

"Nothing much," Jack replied lightly, his lips curling into an evil smile. "I just told her that I'm her husband."

"Hateful." Alice's fists tightened until her knuckles turned pale. Anger surged violently through her chest. "You're utterly shameless. Claire lost her memory, and you took advantage of it. You deceived her and claimed to be her husband."

Jack chuckled, clearly enjoying her reaction. "Why do I sense jealousy?" he said lazily. "That sour feeling—quite obvious."

"Don't flatter yourself," Alice snapped. "Jealousy has nothing to do with this. Your shameless narcissism is disgusting. Whatever happens between you and Claire has nothing to do with me. I don't care."

"Really?" Jack tilted his head slightly. "Then I've decided—tonight, I'll sleep in Claire's bed."

Alice's heart lurched violently. A sharp, bitter sensation rose in her chest before she could stop it.

"You dare."

"Why wouldn't I?" Jack replied calmly. "Didn't you just say you don't care?"

Alice snorted coldly. "You hurt me. I won't allow you to hurt Claire again. This has nothing to do with caring—it's about stopping you."

Jack laughed softly. "Such heroic words. If Claire heard this, she'd probably cry from being moved."

"Jack," Alice said slowly, her voice steady despite the storm inside her, "I may not be your opponent now. But one day, I will kill you."

Jack looked amused rather than threatened. "After everything between us, you think I'd kill my own woman?" His eyes glinted. "Regarding my woman, I prefer to take her joyfully."

Before Alice could react, space twisted again.

Jack appeared behind her.

She was seized instantly.

"Let go of me. Don't touch me," Alice struggled fiercely, rage and humiliation burning through her veins.

"Letting you go is fine," Jack murmured near her ear, his tone false and intimate, "but enjoying a reunion is also important. Alice, it's been a long time. I missed you."

"Hateful… disgusting… stop—" Alice struggled harder, but the strength behind her restraints was overwhelming.

"It missed you too," Jack said cruelly.

Alice felt something hard and cold against her back, and a wave of shame crashed over her. Her voice shook.

"Move away your shameless self."

"Accept your destiny," Jack whispered, his breath brushing her ear.

[ HERE IS A SEXUAL SCENE – OMITTED AS REQUESTED ]

---

Time passed silently.

Three hours later.

"Hū… hū…"

Alice lay on the cold ground, chest rising and falling rapidly. Her limbs felt heavy, numb, as though they no longer belonged to her. Even lifting a finger seemed impossible. Exhaustion pressed down on her body and mind alike.

Jack lay beside her, relaxed and unbothered.

"You didn't give it your all," he said casually. "Want to go another three hundred rounds?"

"Are you a brute?" Alice asked weakly. There was anger in her voice, but also something else—fear she refused to acknowledge.

Jack smiled brightly. "That just means I'm strong."

"Don't think this is over," Alice said harshly, forcing the words out. "I will make you pay a terrible price one day."

Jack laughed softly. "Sharp words—but useless. You'll just be pressed beneath me again."

He shifted as if preparing to move.

Alice stared at him coldly. "Even if you take my body, give up on the idea that I'll ever submit to you."

"It doesn't matter," Jack replied indifferently.

"Hateful." Alice's eyes burned with stubborn unwillingness. His indifference cut deeper than his cruelty.

"It's getting late," Jack said, standing up. "My wife Claire is still waiting."

Alice clenched her jaw. "I will expose you sooner or later."

Jack glanced back at her. "Do you think the current Claire believes you—or believes me?"

"Hateful…"

"Come," Jack said, waving his hand. "Put on your clothes. I prepared them."

A blue light flashed, and a set of clothes materialized in the air before falling neatly to the ground.

Alice glanced at the shredded remains of her original clothes and sneered.

"I didn't expect you to prepare clothes as well."

"Naturally," Jack replied smugly. "I'm a considerate and warm man."

"Shameless scum." Alice dressed quickly, her movements stiff and restrained.

"There's something you should know," Jack continued, his tone turning serious for once. "When I found Claire, she was barely human—wild, broken. This place isn't the paradise you imagined. Jill's whereabouts are also unknown."

Alice fell silent. The cold wind brushed against her face as she processed his words.

"I must help Claire recover her memory," she said finally. "She deserves to know everything."

"If you can manage that," Jack replied calmly.

"I'll stay by your side," Alice said coldly, walking forward. "And I will seize the chance to kill you."

Jack smiled faintly. "The days ahead will certainly be interesting."

They returned.

"Why did it take you so long?" Claire asked gently when she saw Jack.

"There was a deep misunderstanding," Jack replied softly. "It took some time to resolve."

Alice watched Jack's expression closely.

Hateful.

Why was he so gentle toward Claire… yet so merciless to her?

"Claire," Jack said warmly, "we'll leave this place tomorrow. Your memory can't be restored here."

Claire nodded without hesitation. "I trust your decision."

"He's not your husband," Alice said coldly. "He's deceiving you."

Claire raised an eyebrow. "Is he deceiving me? Then what's your truth?"

"I want you to recover your memory," Alice replied firmly.

Claire shook her head. "I know I lost my memory. I can recover it myself. You don't need to worry."

Alice said nothing more.

The wind howled softly across the hillside as tension settled heavily between them.
