Chapter 226 - Afterword (Volume 8)

The most awaited section of the volume.

I hope you enjoyed the volume, dear readers.

Let's talk about it.

Honestly, I can't think of anything right now XD, but I will say it's surprising that 3-4 years have passed since volume 7 came out.

To me, it feels like it came out last year, which is why I find this sensation short and strange.

We had the introduction to the fantastical aspect of the novel, which is the demi-humans. I know they have a different name, but I needed to get that word out of my dictionary and now I'm happy.

I would like to talk about Findor and the others, but I have nothing to say. The guy was just your average villain of the moment, so his existence is irrelevant to me.

But obviously, there will be more information about his country and perhaps about him; remember, the spin-off takes care of giving more relevance to the wasted characters from the volume.

Now, let's move on to Elaine-chan.

I really liked her character a lot; she had been planned for years, but I didn't imagine I would like her character so much.

It's true she has no relevance in the game's story, but rather on a social level.

But I feel that if the plot needed something political or social growth, she would be as important as Alisa.

I hope to feature more of her, as well as Marceline, who by the way has a nickname but I forgot to use it. Next time I will.

Lecia undoubtedly left us all envious and in love.

The perfect mature woman, especially since she already confirmed she wants to torment her husband, and who wouldn't want to do that?

The Rudel family.

I still remember the comments from volume 1 that said: "I really dislike the family, they treat him badly and Rudel forgives them easily; if it were me, I would distance myself from them," and that comment blew my mind.

I never intended to make his family seem like jerks, but I think it was good that it happened.

Because the family was never going to have such relevant development for the future; they would be total background characters.

Since I wanted to make them better characters because their only role was to be with Rudel for being family, and if you would dislike the family being with him, it would be a problem for me.

That's why this redemption of theirs came about, except for Pola—yes, I call her Pola but it's spelled Paula.

And I hope you liked it because I doubt I will ever have such a relevant family in my stories again; if not, ask Razel or Reidel if their families carry weight in the story.

That leaves us with Rudel and the matters of the dreams and the letter.

Rudel is overcoming what happened by ignoring the facts. I read a bit from books about trauma, and many talk about it, about ignoring what happened because it will only make you feel worse.

Therefore, I ask that you recommend books dealing with possible mental illnesses and disturbed personalities; they will be very useful for the villains.

The dreams of Rudel and Airi are something very special I'm preparing, don't worry, there will be more strange dreams.

And finally, the letter.

I won't lie to you, Lisa, the letter was always planned; everything you will see is something that was always planned. There are times when it wasn't and I had to improvise and then change it.

But without a doubt, "I was always there, Puss," because the revelation of the Bradfords is something I even included in the Razel novel as a similarity.

Both share many things in common, especially the ending; in fact, the ending will explain many things, like the name of the work, as a spoiler.

Well, I have nothing more to say.

It was a pleasure to write again, and now I will continue until I finish the work, along with Razel's and Reidel's.

Thank you for reading volume 8 of World Ixion/SAGA; we will see each other again in volume 8.5, which will cover part two of this volume.

Look forward to it with anticipation!
