10:00 AM, In the House deep in the woods of Clairwood
Xavin twists and turns in a bed, yawning.
The bedroom door then creaks open.
"Yo, Xavin," Jaden walks in, "you up?" he asks.
Xavin sits up in the bed, rubbing his forehead.
"Where's Aarion?" He asks in a drowsily voice.
"Uh, he's downstairs failing at painting with his daughter. He's been waiting on you to wake up," Jaden says leaning on the door.
"Oh," Xavin yawns, "yeah, right... some city officials wanna meet him,"
Jaden's face scrunches and he taps the door shut, and walks closer to him.
"I knew I smelt a witch. 'Cause how the hell did you know that?" He asks with suspicion.
Xavin laughs lightly, "What? You sound like my grandmother," he chuckles.
"Cut the shit!" Jaden snaps and Xavin's expression shifts into a fearful frown.
"Why are you here and are you some kinda threat to my family?! Jaden aggressively whispers.
Xavin looks over to the window and sighs. "You can chill out, y'know? ,
"What?" Jaden asks
"I knew there was a possibility that you'd be the one I awoke to. So," he stands up reaches right arm out, "shake my hand," Xavin says sincerely.
Jaden looks him up and down before asking, "Excuse me?" Jaden grumbled.
Xavin nods with an aloof expression and steps closer. Jaden squints with suspicion, looking at Xavin before he reaches out and grabs Xavin's right hand with his.
"Sssssssss! Ah," Jaden winces in pain, and his eyes widen as much as it could, staring carelessly in pain.
"Stop!"
"T- Too much!" He yells out.
Xavin lets go.
"There, does that answer your question?" Xavin asks, smugly. Jaden breathes heavily and looks up at Xavin, blinking. He then stands up straight and turns around.
"Come down in five," Jaden says, before he walks towards the door, leaving the room.
Downstairs, Aarion laughs along with Eden
"God, I'm terrible!" Aarion exclaims
"It's okay," Eden laughs, "I'll paint for you!" She says cheerfully.
Aarion smiles warmly but before he speaks, he hears tumbling and rumbling towards the staircase.
"Eden! Eden! Eden!" The squealing voices of Isaiah and Trey yell.
"Lets go to the woods! We finally found something good to try out," Isaiah beamed, with excitement. Eden nodded and got up quickly, she left her paintings with Aarion and ran out the front door with Isaiah and Trey.
Aarion scrunches his face in confusion and sucks his teeth. "Huh...the woods?"
The front door opens up again and slams shut.
"Hoo!" Harmony exclaims placing her car keys on a tall coat rack.
She walks into the living room and sees Aarion, "Looks like those three are off to the woods again," Harmony chuckles before she sits down on the couch across from Aarion.
Aarion slowly nods and hums, still confused.
Harmony sighs, "They're just practicing their magic. And don't worry, Quincy is always watching them in case anything goes wrong," Harmony explains.
Aarion chuckles, "Oh, right. Makes sense," he says. Jaden then walks down the staircase, and jumps down the last few steps, slightly skipping into the living room.
"Your buddy should be coming down soon," he says to Aarion before siting besides Harmony and giving her a kiss.
"Did you do it?" he whispers to her.
"Yeah, Margot and John is a problem that concerns the Factions now," she says affirmingly.
"Great," Aarion crosses his legs, "We got too much to worry about," he trailed off.
"That legend was interesting, though," Jaden deadpanned. "Yeah," Harmony chimed in,
"I wonder if this... Man in Cloak person is real. Is he actually the reason for the existence of witches? Why were we told that witches came to be because Josephine simply studied nature? And are all of us in the coven descended from them?" She questioned with a curious suspicion.
"Who knows? It's just a myth," Jaden said.
"Nah, not a myth,"
"It's fact,"
Jaden and Harmony both give Aarion a confused look.
Aarion sighs, "Look I didn't say anything because I didn't know what to think of it... When I casted my spell on Magus to invade his mind, I somehow viewed a moment of time which I think that 'myth' is talking about... The Daughters of Magik, Cloaked One, all of that... it's true," he explained.
Harmony and Jaden both looked shocked, Jaden began, "Are you seri-"
"Aarion?" Xavin calls out, walking down the stairs. He walks into the living room with a duffle bag on his side.
"Oh, hey," Aarion says before he stands "You r eady to get back to New York?" He asks and Xavin nods 'yes' with a smile. "Okay..." he says and Harmony stands up and quickly hugs him.
"Now that you're awake, I should be getting messages and calls from you okay? Don't be an introvert," she whispers and Aarion chuckles before he pulls away, "Okay,"
"Aarion..." Jaden began still on the couch, "don't die again," Jaden says and Aarion smiles, "Funny. I'll miss you too."
"Wait... where is Aiyana and Kristen?" Aarion asks.
"Oh, Ms. Business Lady is working at her bar today, it just opened last week. And Kristen is in Florida," Harmony explains.
"Florida?" Aarion asks confusedly.
Harmony nods, "He's been keeping in touch with his birth family. The have a lot of witch... gatherings?" Harmony said nervously.
Aarion nods aloofly before he began to walk away.
"Well, till next time," he says before he walks out the house along with Xavin.
In front of the house, Aarion squints his eyes and looks around, "Hey, I'll meet you in the car. I have to say goodbye to someone," Aarion says to Xavin before he leaves, walking deeper into the woods.
Aarion walks and walks but slows down after hearing whispers.
"Energia Terrae, benedic hoc et vitam da,"
"Energia Terrae, benedic hoc et vitam da,"
"Energia Terrae, benedic hoc et vitam da,"
Aarion follows the chanting whispers and he sees the back of a tall figure, walking closer to it.
"Quincy..." Aarion mutters and Quincy jumps, turning his head to see who is behind him.
"I've come to say goodbye," Aarion says and Quincy sighs, "She needs you though..." Quincy insists. Aarion smacks his lips before stepping forward, "I'm going to say goodbye," he whispers again before walking off.
"Wait," Quincy quickly yell out and Aarion stops abruptyly, "Let me say it for you, you're just gonna make her sad... and that emotion isn't good while practicing magic. You know it," Quincy elaborates, "Please," he whispers.
Aarion turn around slowly and sighs, "Till next time, Quincy," he says before walking away.
Back in front of the house Aarion takes big steps, walking to the car. He opens the door and sits down quickly, slamming the door.
"Everything good?" Xavin asks, sitting in the passenger seat.
"Uh... yeah. Yeah, good," Aarion nods slowly and aloofly.
A few moments pass and Aarion just sits there staring, "Uh, I have to meet with someone before we leave, but it won't take long," he snaps back before starting the car.
After twenty minutes pass, Aarion stops the car and parks in front of large building with a beautiful front yard.
"What is this?" Xavin asks, referring to the building. "An orphanage," Aarion responds turning off the car. "I'll be quick, I just have to meet someone," he turns to Xavin. Xavin nods, and Aarion then opens the door, getting out the car.
He looks around and smacks his lips, "Huh, life..." he whispers before walking towards the door. While reaching his arm out to push open the door, it suddenly opens.
"Hello, you must be Aarion Williams," an elder woman, dressed in nun attire greets. Standing beside two other younger nuns. Aarion cautiously walks in and the door closes behind him. He's startled, and turns around to see two other nuns walking away rom the closed doors.
"What is this?" He asks abruptly. "I'm Abess Mary," the old woman steps forward, "I'm the new leader of the human faction," She says, reaching her hand out for a shake. "It's nice to meet you," Aarion says shaking her hand, "So, you replaced, Leah?" He asks.
Mary scoffs, "I- I suppose. I'm sorry about what happened to her, I know that you two had just welcomed a child before she died. Actually..." she explains and one of the other nuns step up, handing her a note card.
"She had a brother... Levi Harrington. He knows that she was pregnant with a child, but he hasn't contacted Leah in years for... obvious reasons he doesn't know. I told him I'd give him a contact that knows what happened," she concludes, giving him the note card. He takes it and puts it in his pocket, "I'll give him a call," he says solemnly.
"That's not all. I also have another favor for you, a big one," Mary adds. "If it's adopting, then no," he says quickly and turns around, readying to leave.
"Wait!" Mary shouts. Aarion stops and turns back around. "This kid.. no one else can handle him. Not even supernaturals! My nuns and I can do all we can, but it's not enough. He needs guidance, control," Mary rants. Aarion steps closer, "What is he?"
"I..." Mary looks down in confusion, "All I know is that he's magic," She responds, and Aarion still looks doubtful. "Look, he's just seven years old. No biological relatives, no one to want him. You're his only hope," She continues on to convince. Aarion looks up and sighs.
"Let me meet him, real fast," he says. Mary smiles proudly and begins walking towards the stairwell, "Follow me,"
Upstairs, they reach a bedroom door at the end of the hallway and Mary stops and opens the door.
"Marcus? You in here?" She asks as she steps in and Aarion follows behind her.
Whoosh
A boy in a blue jean jacket appears on the bed.
Whoosh
In a blue flash, he appears by the window
Whoosh
In another blue flash, he appears standing in front of Aarion
"Who you?" the young boy asks. He's Asian and he has shining black hair that covers his forehead.
"I'm... astounded! You're-
"Different?" Marcus interrupts.
"I was gonna say special. You're Marcus right? I'm Aarion," Aarion holds his hands out for a shake and Marcus simply nods, giving a nervous smile.
"What else can you do?" Aarion asks. Marcus looks up and holds his hand out. A blue flame then sparks and shrouds his hand, he then pulls his hand to his chest, canceling the flame. Aarion smiles before squatting down, meeting Marcus's height. He holds his hand out a black flame begin to shroud his hand.
Marcus's eyes widen in excitement. "Cool!" He exclaims. "Yeah," Aarion chuckles, standing up straight. "If you're up for it, I can teach you all I know. And I can give you a home, anything you need. So, what do you say? Up for getting adopted?" Aarion asks. Marcus nods his head excitedly with a smile. "Yes! I'll pack now," He says rushing to get his things.
Abess Mary then grabs Aarion by the shoulder and pulls him out in the hallway. "Thank you, Aarion. You don't know how much this means to him," She says and a nun walks up behind her, "Here is his file," she says handing it to Aarion.
"I'm ready!" Marcus bursts out of the room carrying a duffle bag and a bookbag.
"Great!" Mary says, "Now, Marcus be good, okay?" She places her hand on Marcus's shoulder and he nods 'yes'. "Wait, I don't have to sign anything?" Aarion asks.
Mary chuckles, "Closed adoption. And aren't you in a hurry?" She asks. Aarion smiles and nods before walking away. "Right. Goodbye then, Abess Mary," he says and Mary waves goodbye.
"Do you think Marcus will be okay?" The nun beside Mary asks her, "Aarion is more than capable. But... you must be concerned about the dangers he'll bring to Marcus. I am too"
Outside, Marcus hops in the car, pushing his bags to the other side of the back seat. Aarion gets in right after him.
"Oh, Marcus, this is my friend Xavin. Xavin this is Marcus, he's now my... son," Aarion hesitates.
"Inter..esting?" Xavin chuckles.
"Are we gonna get on a plane. I've always wanted to get on one," Marcus blurts out excitedly.
"Nah, we're taking a shortcut home," Aarion responds.
He closes his eyes and begins to whisper.
A black portal then opens feet away from in front of the car. It widens and widens as Aarion continue to whisper. He opens his eyes suddenly, starts the car and presses heavy on the gas.
The car passes through the portal and drives in front of the house in New York, he parks the car, and they all get out.
"Marcus, we're home," Aarion says.
Aarion opens the door, and they all walk in.
"he-CHOO!" Marcus sneezes.
"Bless you," Xavin says before walking to the kitchen.
"Sorry, it's a little dusty," Aarion mentions, "Why don't you go pick a room and then we can tour and talk?" Aarion suggests and Marcus nods, before walking up the stairs.
"Xavin," Aarion shouts out, "can we t-" he suddenly stops and scrunches his face in suspicion.
He looks over his shoulder cautiously before turning around, looking at the door.
He takes a slow step closer and inhales deeply.
BOOM!
The door bursts open and men and women with black masks came in with guns.
"Put your hands up!"
"Hands up!"
"No magic!"
The soldiers yelled out and Aarion quickly put his hands up.
"Aarion, what's happening?" Marcus asks as he's escorted downstairs by armed men.
"Don't worry. Everything will be okay," He yells while the soldiers put him in magic seal cuffs, reassuring him.
Soldiers carry Xavin in cuffs, and the put him on his knees beside Aarion and Marcus.
A woman in a grey skirt and vest walks into the home and approaches the three of them.
"Aarion Williams? I'm Vanessa Wall, you're under arrest by the U.S AMP," She announces.
Aarion squints his eyes and scoffs.
"You have to be fucking kidding me,"
