Alex turned toward the Sky God.
"I still have over ten minutes before the hour ends, don't I?"
The Sky God gave a strange look. "Well, technically, you do. Are you going to continue cultivating?" she asked.
"No. I'm done with that," Alex said and looked back toward the Fire God once again. "I will have to do something else now."
"Do something else?" the Fire God asked with a single laugh in his voice. "Hah! This is the contest to prepare our suns. Or are you already giving up and wish to move on to the next one?"
Alex looked toward the crowd.
It was clear at this point that there would be no other contest after this. In their eyes, he had failed to do the one thing they could have expected him to do. As a result, Alex would have pretty much lost if he didn't prepare his sun.
So, one way or another, he had to.
