Me and Lindo decided that we'd keep things between us secret until the right time comes at least that's what I said cause I wanted us to get to know each other even more and so that's how things were. But keeping it up would be a challenge since ayanda Is a overpossesive freak and so I had to also be careful with her since she's been wanting Lindo for the longest time but honestly speaking I never cared since I love myself to a point where I wouldn't allow myself to fight for a boy who ain't a man but anyways let me get back to how miss ayanda slapped me on the face today because Lindo kissed me thinking that I manipulated him just to get to her and win the bet. Lindo saw it and came running and said
" what the hell is going on here" he shouted
"Baby boo she forced herself on you and kissed you which is something she shouldn't get access of don't you think " she said while clinging on Lindo and Lindo looked at her frustrated and pushed her away.
"Look I don't know why you assumed that but her doing that to me doesn't give you the right to slap her" he said in a loud angry voice and then stared at me and said
" are you okay zandy ?" While staring at me
" Yeah I am but she really has gone to far by slapping me because of you" I said and smiled and so I did the unthinkable , I slapped her back and everyone surrounding us was watching
"How dare you slap me " she shouted
" shhh if I was you I'd be scared of what will come next cause speaking to me like that is a crime that you wouldn't dare to wanna commit would you" I said calmly
"Boo you see she also slapped me "she said while rubbing her face cheeks
" ayanda didn't you first slap her and besides her kiss was the best I've ever had" he said while staring at her and I laughed and smirked at her
"You'll pay for this zandile uyezwa ( do you hear me) lento oyiyenzile inebhadala ( whatever you did now You'll pay for it) " she shouted in anger and left
And while leaving I knew that I has broken her ego and she seemed like she wasn't ready to give up but then I just told myself to let her be she ain't worth it and she never was.
After the whole drama everyone went to class and it was English class we had to do unprepared presentation and boy was I soo nervous. But luckily I was the last one and people started and presented even though they were unknown topics to them they did their best but then I was the last one
"Up next is zandile" the teacher said and my heart was pounding and I went in front and I was nervous and the teacher saw and said you've got this and then I looked at the paper it said how to be a confident student it wad the my topic and figured that Okay it won't be bad then took a deep breath closed my eyes and then counted till three and I opened them and started
" Good morning fellow classmates my name is zandile and I am about to present an unprepared speech on the topic how to be a confident student
Before I answer the question at hand lets ourselves what is confidence ? what is the definition of it?
Well ladies and gentlemen I'm about to elaborate on that: Confidence is the feeling of self-assurance and trust in one's abilities, qualities, or judgment. It's about being sure of yourself and your capabilities, without being arrogant or overly self-critical 😊. When you're confident, you're more likely to take risks, speak up, and tackle challenges head-on.
In a way, confidence is like having an inner voice saying, "I've got this!" It can show up in how you walk, talk, and interact with others.
And so we've elaborated on what the definition of confidence is now we continue to our topic which is how to be a confident student
Here's a speech on how to be a confident student:
The secret to being a confident student It's not about being the smartest or the loudest – it's about believing in yourself.
First, own your strengths! 🎯 You're good at something, whether it's acing maths, nailing presentations, or rocking sports. Focus on what you do well and build on it.
Next, ditch perfectionism 🚫. Nobody's perfect, and it's okay to make mistakes. That's where the real learning happens.
Prepare, prepare, prepare 📚! Know your stuff, and you'll feel more confident walking into that exam or presentation.
Practice positive self-talk 💬. Replace "I'm gonna fail" with "I've got this!" It's amazing how a little mindset shift can boost your confidence.
And don't be afraid to ask for help 🙋. Whether it's a teacher, classmate, or tutor, asking questions shows you're keen to learn.
Lastly, celebrate small wins 🎉! Acknowledge your achievements, no matter how tiny they seem.
Confidence is like a muscle – the more you work on it, the stronger it gets 💪. So, go out there and crush it!
Thank you."
At first it was silent then the teacher started clapping hands and the rest of my classmates followed and I was soo happy even though I was nervous since public speaking is scary and people look at you expecting a mistake yet instead of making one I ended up committing a crime of making people feel happy and that hits hard than anything and for some reason I felt proud of myself that even though I might have enemies and cause drama and chaos at times I have the touch to make people laugh and can boost them in a way and even though me and Lindo aren't always in the same class some of his friends told him how I broke a leg while presenting and came to me then he kissed me out of the blue and said " I've heard about your unprepared speech and how you killed it with confidence and I must say I'm proud of you" he said while smiling and I was blushing and then we kissed again and the moment he said he is proud of me is that moment I figured that maybe I didn't make a mistake by giving him a chance
