[ZAIRE]
"Killing the custodian of the same crown you are bound to serve is not a smart idea, Zaire.
Maybe try to be nice, and good things might actually come your way, alright?" Grant said, like it was the one thing he had to remind Zaire of. As if they needed to be on the same page, however unsettling all of this had gotten to be.
Zaire didn't say much, just glared at the man as the door to the council room opened. He hated how he was feeling about all of this.
He hated the fact that he had just stepped aside because Nour had asked, even though his Erasthai had been hurting.
What kind of an Erasthai was he?
The one caused Erasthai more pain?
The one who couldn't even get through to the love of his life, and yet now was confident that he could do a lot? A lot of what, though? Failing to save Nour? Failing to be there for him?
What was immortality if he was not even going to spend it with Erasthai?
