Lin Xu and Zhang Kerong were standing next to another stall nearby, seemingly having a quiet argument again for some unknown reason. Both looked unhappy, especially when they saw Hao Jin and Meng Li being all lovey-dovey, showing public displays of affection, causing them to turn their heads away and look around.
Lin Xu, feeling a bit impatient, urged, "The sun is already up, and if we wait any longer, the market stuff won't be fresh anymore. Shouldn't we buy something to take home? It's scorching this early in the morning, aren't you guys hot? There's a place selling popsicles over there."
As he spoke, he wanted to buy popsicles for everyone.
Zhang Kerong quickly followed him, whispering, "Why are you buying popsicles? Aren't we going to eat later? If our travel expenses aren't enough, we won't even be able to afford a bus ticket, and we'll have to squeeze onto a crowded, hot coach with the staff. Can't you be sensible?"
