All the different dojo's stand around the karate mat as the announcer reveals the first round matches. The first match is Ethan King vs a student from Iron Fist Karate. The two bow to each other and takes a fighting stance. The Iron Fist student runs at Ethan, but the Cobra jumps into the air and slams his forearm into his face, ending the fight in seconds. Baron smirks at Bill and Ethan stares down Ryan as his hand is raised in victory. Everyone cheers loudly for Ethan and Cobra Kai except for Emily, Zack, and Oliver.
The next fight is Ryan vs a Cobra kai member. Before the match begins, the Cobra approaches him.
"I'm almost sorry that I won't get to see Ethan destroy you. At least I get to though."
Ryan smirks, not even looking at his opponent and walks on the mat. The two bow to each other and take a fighting stance, as Ryan's friends are the only ones who cheers for him. The Cobra goes for multiple strikes, but Ryan easily blocks them. He then ducks a kick and counters with a roundhouse kick to the face, knocking him out. Baron scowls as Bill smirks at him.
Zack jumps out of his seat, clapping for Ryan. As his hand is raised, Ryan looks up at Emily who is cheering for him and smiles, but this angers Ethan. Ryan walks over to Bill and the two share a fist bump.
"Your boyfriend's pretty cool." Emily's little brother says.
Emily smiles and rubs his head as her father scoffs.
"He was alright. I guess." He says, folding his arms.
As the first round ends, Ethan, Derek, Ryan, and five other competitors advance to the second round. Ethan and Derek easily advance to the semifinals, as Ryan's match takes place.
Ryan blocks multiple kicks from his opponent, getting pushed back. Ryan then ducks a heel kick from him and leaps over a leg sweep. Continuing the attack, his opponent throws multiple punches, that Ryan also blocks and pushes him back. His opponent then swings wildly at him out of frustration. Ryan ducks it and kicks him in the gut, winning the match.
Everyone cheers for Ryan, even Hailey's dad. As her mom smirks at him, he shrugs it off as stretching. Everyone from Cobra kai stare daggers through Ryan, but he is not afraid, he never has been.
Later, the four who won their matches all stand in the middle of the mat as the announcer speaks to the crowd.
"Alright, folks! There can only be one true All Valley champion. And he, or she is standing on this stage right now. Will it be the reigning champion, Ethan King from Cobra Kai Karate? Will it be Derek Long also from Cobra Kai Karate? Will it be, the new comer, Ryan Larusso, from Wolf Fang Karate? Or will it be Alexis Stone, from Topanga karate? Only time will tell! First up, Stone vs King!"
