Congratulations to the host for successfully completing the mission of getting the first customer and successfully opening the Adventure Guild.
The prizes obtained were automatically added to the host's inventory.
Dorian noticed that his winnings this time were quite substantial... a legendary sword, Durandal, two Western food lottery tickets, and a job description journal.
"A legendary sword, two lottery tickets, and a job description journal. What system is this job description journal?" Dorian was confused by the journal in front of him. Every time he flipped through the book, each page contained a person's profile and description.
"A job description journal is a journal containing various jobs that adventurers can choose. Fighter, Archer, and Cook are all listed in the journal. And as the guild owner, the host needs to let adventurers choose their own jobs," the system asked Dorian.
"But what about the epic and legendary job descriptions here? Should I display these too? Won't everyone end up choosing legendary jobs?" Dorian expressed his doubts.
To answer the host's question, each job description, from normal to rare, has its own prerequisites. Epic and legendary job descriptions are arguably the most difficult to fulfill. will not be displayed publicly
The prerequisites won't be displayed, but if someone accidentally completes the prerequisites, they're more than entitled to the honor of having that epic or legendary job description.
"That means with this ticket, I'm in charge of changing their jobs too... It'll be so exciting to see what job they choose, I can't wait, haha." While Dorian was cleaning the bar, a man entered the Guild.
"WOOOOOOOAAAAAH! This building is so grand, so big! Ah, good morning, sir guard. What are you doing? What's in here?" "What is this place?" At this moment, a young man in an academy uniform greeted Dorian.
"Oh, customer, welcome to the Adventurer's Guild, a symbol of future freedom. I'm the owner of this place, Dorian Henderson. How can I help you?" Dorian politely greeted the customer. This time, the customer looked young, and with his luxurious uniform, Dorian thought the young man might be of noble descent.
The man sat at the bar and looked at the menu in front of him. As he looked at it, he couldn't help but complain to Dorian, "Mr. Bartender, don't you have any meat? Like steak or something, sir?"
"Ah, would you like a steak? Of course, one will be here soon." Just at this moment, Dorian managed to obtain a steak recipe from the system lottery.
Using a kitchen knife, Dorian deftly took a piece of meat and sliced it neatly, removing any excess fat, and then sprinkled the spice mixture over it.
Heating a pan on a magic stone-powered stove, Dorian tossed the meat into it. As the steak played with the flames, Dorian added garlic, butter, and a blue leaf.
During this process, the young man simply watched Dorian's actions in awe, noting Dorian's use of subtle mana to control the temperature, the sharpness of the knife, and his focus on cooking. Dorian's beautiful body movements also amazed him, as Dorian didn't move as if he were cooking, but rather as if he were dancing among the smoke and flames.
He was so focused on Dorian's stunning performance that he didn't even realize his dish had been served.
"Here it is, customer! A new dish from me, a steak with secret spices. Please enjoy." Dorian served a plate of steak with fries on the side.
The customer devoured Dorian's masterpiece so greedily that the dish he had just served disappeared like a black hole in mere moments.
"Wow, Mr. Dorian, this is the best food I've ever eaten. As a Royal Academy student, I dare say that the food here is tastier and more affordable than the food in the academy cafeteria."
"Hahahahaha, I'm so glad you said that. Thank you very much, sir," Dorian said, not knowing the name of the young man in front of him.
The young man seemed to regain his composure and began to introduce himself.
"Oh, how rude of me to have not introduced myself. Let me introduce myself, sir. My name is Huarion. Arthur Huarion." The young man bowed and politely introduced himself to Dorian.
"Greetings, Arthur. Nice to meet you. Do you need anything else?" Dorian also bowed to return Arthur's courtesy.
Arthur was initially hesitant, but he eventually answered Dorian's question, "So it's like this, Mr. Dorian. Because I am one of the top students at the Royal Academy."
Arthur told Dorian a story: Arthur was originally the most talented young man in his family, but just as he was about to awaken his job and start a new life, he was poisoned by a servant from the Huarion manor.
When the servant was captured and interrogated, the Huarion family finally realized that the servant was a member of the Demon Cult, attempting to break the Huarion family's bloodline. They inherently possessed a strong affinity for storms.
The magic they cast became more powerful because their bodies were more closely aligned with nature, resulting in spells with natural elements being several times more powerful than those cast by others.
Arthur underwent intensive treatment from the most powerful doctors in the world, including a doctor with the gift of revitalization from the Blue Eagle Kingdom, the Land of Shaufa, and surrounding countries.
Furthermore, a shaman with the gift of victim dolls, capable of transferring wounds, curses, and bad luck into sacrificial dolls from the Central Archipelago, was summoned to try and heal Arthur.
However, after going through all this, Arthur was only able to recover, but never fully recovered. He remained alive, but every time he tried to use his mana to cast magic, he would cough violently and cough up blood.
And from there, his life at the Royal Academy began to deteriorate day by day, until he became frustrated and finally went outside for some fresh air, only to end up at this Adventurer's Guild.
"That's a heartbreaking story, Arthur. I'm sorry for what you've been through." Dorian placed the clear glass he had just cleaned back on the shelf and patted Arthur on the shoulder.
Dorian took a bottle of wine from the shelf and poured some into the glass.
Sreeeek!
A glass of red wine stopped right in front of Arthur. Arthur saw this and looked up at Dorian. Dorian, on the other hand, simply winked and said.
"It's my treat this time. Drink until you feel better. Once again, I'm very sorry to hear your story."
Arthur's heart warmed, "This is the feeling I hate the most, but I also miss the most." Arthur cried with every drop of wine that entered his throat.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Dorian. If one day my talent returns, I swear I will repay you tenfold, no, ten thousandfold, what you have done so far," Arthur vowed to Dorian.
And that's how Dorian met one of his future Adventurers.
"Well, I suppose I can help you with this, but I won't give it away for nothing."
"Mr. Dorian, do you really have a way to help?"
"A way? No, I don't just have one way, I have all the ways available."
Dorian opened his arms wide and let Arthur see the glittering potions and display items available in this Guild.
Everything looked shiny, luxurious, and classy in Arthur's eyes.
"Wow, using light magic is something I never thought of. I knew it. Master Dorian is a true genius. Besides, there are so many cool items here."
Arthur began wandering around the guild building, examining the items. He started with a long sword with a serrated crimson blade and a rope beside it.
A magic staff with a sparkling crystal orb, black knight armor with gold accents and runes carved into the corners, and a grimoire with the word "FORBIDDEN" emblazoned prominently on it.
"There are indeed many amazing items here... But right now, you can't really use them or need them." Dorian left the counter and began leading Arthur to a room next to the training area.
Until now, the display and dining area were not the main hall of the Adventurer's Guild, but rather a side hall. The Adventurer's Guild's layout was divided into several areas:
In front of the entrance was a large courtyard where adventurers could rest and eat.
Behind this courtyard was the main building of the Adventurer's Guild, a spacious three-story building with a basement. A three-story building included the administration hall on the first floor, the lodging on the second floor, and Dorian's private quarters on the third floor.
To the right and left were other buildings, side halls where food and other goods were sold. Transactions were usually conducted here.
Behind the main hall itself was a spacious garden where Dorian cultivated, gardened, and relaxed.
Entering the main hall, Arthur was once again amazed by the interior. The expansive space and statue stands lined the front door and along the walls.
"Mr. Dorian, there are so many statue stands here, but why aren't there any statues standing here?"
"Hmm, because basically, only those who can make history with their own hands deserve their own statues standing proudly in this main hall."
Dorian opened his arms wide and let Arthur see a vision of the future: the Main Hall filled with heroic statues.
"Ahahahaha. Ah yes, Arthur, come here, I'll help you escape your current predicament." Dorian called Arthur to the center of the hall.
With a wave of Dorian's hand, a work desk and a pair of chairs appeared facing each other. He gestured to the chair in front of him, inviting Arthur to sit. "Sit down, Arthur. Make yourself at home."
Arthur, already seated, couldn't anticipate the excitement and curiosity Dorian was about to show him.
Dorian opened the desk drawer and pulled out a catalog and handed it to Arthur.
"Take a look. What's inside is a list of the jobs you can obtain once you officially become a registered adventurer in the guild. Perhaps some of them will answer your current problem."
Arthur flipped through the catalog and carefully examined the images and descriptions of each available job.
"Once you've made your choice, just let me know, and we'll begin the job transfer ceremony," Dorian continued.
Arthur, looking at the catalog, couldn't help but ask Dorian, "Mr. Dorian, what's the difference between this job and the others?"
Dorian was stunned, then laughed out loud, replying, "Hahahahaha, smart people can't be careless. Well, as for your question, basically, each job description has a different color."
Dorian pointed to the job description's blue and white fonts.
"Basically, white represents common job descriptions, green uncommon, blue rare, purple epic, gold or yellow legendary, and black hidden."
Arthur, now more insightful, began flipping through the catalog again, carefully skipping over several rare and epic job descriptions. Reaching the end of the catalog, he frowned and asked.
"But, Mr. Dorian, why can't I see any hidden job descriptions in this catalog?" Dorian slammed his fist on the table and scolded Arthur.
"Hidden job means a job that's hidden. How can a job description with the word hidden in its description be in this catalog? You need special requirements to even get a chance to have that job?"
Arthur asked again, "Then, Mr. Dorian, am I qualified to have it?"
Dorian smiled and replied, "Glad you asked." From his chest pocket, he pulled out a card depicting a craftsman holding a needle and carving a sword with ancient, glowing letters on it.
[Enchanter]
Description: A hidden job that grants its owner the most advanced understanding of enchanting, with ancient languages being their everyday language. It's not a fighter job, but the strongest fighter weapons can be born from it.
Although not skilled in combat, the owner is still a jack of all trades, making him capable of wielding at least every weapon imaginable.
Grade: Hidden
Rarity: 01/01
"This is probably your first choice job, so Arthur, will you choose this?"
Dorian asked Arthur, who nodded slightly in response.
"Since you have chosen, I will begin the ceremony." Dorian drew his sword at Arthur and asked him.
"Arthur, as the leader of the Adventurer's Guild and its rightful owner, I appoint you as the first adventurer of our guild. All calamities, troubles, misfortunes, good fortunes, joys and sorrows, we will bear them together as one big family. Arthur, do you accept this?"
"I accept the fate of the Adventurer's Guild as part of this big family?" Arthur nodded firmly.
"Good, Arthur, from now on, you are officially part of the Adventurer's Guild." Dorian sheathed his sword and smiled at Arthur.
