Before that night…
'Thank you for accepting my invitation' Justine said to Mei as they started to walk
'No problem, I just think that I should also give time for myself' she smiled at the man.
'give me your bag, I'll hold it for you' the man offered. She gladly gave her bag to Justine.
'you sure that it's fine for you to bring my bag? That's pretty heavy'
'No, it's fine. And a girl shouldn't be carrying such heavy stuff. Your height will be affected' she chuckled because he definitely has a point.
Mei is having fun with Justine as her companion. They went to a different vendors in the plaza from accessories, dresses, and more but she didn't allow any of the things that Justine wanted to give.
'It's almost six, I need to go home' Mei said after looking her wristwatch. The sky is also getting shady. They are now outside the house.
'oh? I'll take you home' Justine offered and was about to leave first. She stop him by saying...
'No, I can take care of myself.' she declined. Because she can actually take care of herself. And besides, she used to their way home. And If her father saw her with a boy, she's ugly sure that her father will gonna kick her ass off from home.

'Yeah! Thank you for the time'

'that's not really matters to me. I enjoyed too so, its a kwits' she said and maneuver her hand to the hand bag that Justine was holding. 'Thank you for carrying my bag' and showed her hand bag to him
'you're welcome, I'll accompany you on your way back at school' Justine is really persistent. She shake just shake her head in disagreement. 'My motorcycle was still in the campus, so, I need to go back too' while walking they talk on many things like their hobbies and such. But there are also times that the man tries to open a serious talk. Which is making her feel awkward.
When they reach the school gate. She immediately bid her goodbye and went home.
At the moment…
'Mei, come here' her father is already drunk and doesn't know on what he's saying but still, she obliged.
She sat beside her father. 'Lucas, this is my daughter Mei. She's beautiful right?' good god! What is her father saying! She look at the boy who she saw yesterday in the seashore. 'introduce yourself to him Mei. Give some respect to our new neighbor's her father whispered to her ear with a threat
'Hello! I'm Francine Mei. Welcome to Asturias' she said and extend her hand for a hand shake. This, she's not mad towards him. She's just feeling annoyed the other day. But now, she isn't.
'Lucas' Lucas said and had a shake hands with the girl.
'Nice to meet you' she added. The boy removes his hand first.
'Nice to meet you too' the way he speak, he seems uninterested but Mei does not care about it. What important is, they have no problem with each other.
Lucas glance the girl. She's impressive compare to him. She's smiling because of the older man's jokes. She's not pretty yet her beauty is simple. The way how the girl laugh is like she's not conscious with her looks and appearance.
He's occupied by the conversation of the old men. When..
'Lucas..' someone whispers at him. He turn to look who it was, and confirm. this is the girl who introduce to him earlier
'yes?' he asked.
'can you accompany us in the seashore? I want you to meet my friends' the girl smiled. He forgot it's name tho, he didn't bother to ask her. He's not interested.
'uhh. Okay'' he said feeling a lil awkward. Well, He is new to this type of community. It's real different from the life of city.
He's still adjusting.
'Mei! Mei! Mei!' the girl shouted calling for Mei because it's so loud. It takes three calls for her to look at their side. She look at the girl with a questioning look. Seems like, she's still enjoying with her companions.
The cottage is filled with different laughter and karaokes.
'Come here!' the girl replied with a signal for her to understand. But Mei points her father and whisper to the air 'Papa is here, help me escape' then the girl respond 'you can do it! Just be fast! We will be at the seashore' she just nod and say something to her father
While, Lucas is being pulled by the unknown girl to the seashore. He doesn't want to go with her but the girl is a persistent one. He's shy to decline the offer since he is new here and the people is being nice to him. He can't be rude.
'guys! This is Lucas's the girl immediately introduce him to it's bunch of friends. He didn't know that there are a lot of guys the same age as he is.
'im kelly' the girl named Kelly extends her hand for a hand shake 'nice to meet you'
'i'm Peter'
'im jelai'
'i'm Martin'
And many more other people who have them introduced their selves. He can't even name who's Kelly or Peter is. Because they exactly looked the same!
'oh! Mei's coming' said by Blanche the girl who brings him in the seashore
'what are we gonna do now?' ask by the man who's name is Martin. Then the other girls went to specific guys. And that makes him say… 'oh?' They have all partners while he, Blanche and Mei have none.
'shall we?' Blanche offers her hand to him
He has no idea but still he gives his hand to Blanche.
'just wow! You guys wait for me to see you have partners? This is something shit' his attention was transferred to Mei. 'this girl is savage' Lucas said to himself and realizes that he should've done with such a thing like this. so he pulled his hand out from Blanche's hand.
'hahahaha!' they all laughed except him and Mei who's annoyed while looking at her friends
'Are you guys really are my friends?' she said. Sarcasm is evident within her
'we are Mei. And you should have brought some guy out there's
'and why don't you give your yes to Richard? He's freak'n handsome and rich!'
'i'm not a gold digger and besides mama and papa will definitely kill me if I had the boyfriend thingy' she said the fact. While, Lucas choses to stay silent and just listen to their conversations.
'You should act mature Mei! Prove to your parents that you already know what you are doing!' Blanche inserted as she also sat beside Lucas
'its hard you know! I don't want to adjust for such a thing! I just want to be with myself. That's all that matters to me' she said with finality and turn her backs to her friends. She's not going to go back. She just wanted to be alone and goes to a silent place.
'let's dance Lucas' Blanche offered but he declined 'sorry I don't feel like dancing. If you will excuse me' okay, that's rude but that's the truth he doesn't want to.
Blanche smiled at him before leaving him and go to it's friends who is now dancing at the seaside. They only have speakers and disco lights but it already looks like a real disco
'amazing' he said to himself. The time that he spent for watching the other guys are making him bored that's why he stands up and excuse himself from the group. The others understand him for he wasn't used to the provinces way of living.
He was about to go back at the cottage to bid his goodbye and thank you's for the invitation when he noticed Mei at the big rock forms. Sitting as she's trying to hold her hair because it was being blown by the wind.
He is doubting. It's either he approach her or not. But in the end, he saw himself walking towards her.
