Gabriella understood.
They were using her to keep him still.
Felip's shirt had been torn near the shoulder, and dirt covered one side of his trousers. Blood was flowing from his face but the way he looked at the man holding Gabriella made him forget the condition he was in.
There was murder in his eyes.
"Take the knife away from her." He demanded yet the attacker pressed it harder on the girl's neck. Gabriella gasped. A sharp sting touched her skin and warmth followed.
A small cut.
Felip saw it. His entire expression changed.
"I said," he repeated, his voice dangerously quiet, "take the knife away from her."
"You don't appear to be in a position to give orders." The other attackers near him moved and struck Felip again but he did not look at them nor did he flinched on their blow. His eyes remained on Gabriella.
"What do you guys want?" Felip announced, hoping he could struck a bargain for the Monteria heiress sake.
