Several days later, Icecrown Citadel, Headquarters of the Partas Tribe
Several days have passed since we turned back to the Icecrown Citadel, and I could finally start the experiments on the Psyker Gene and create a method of transplantation of the latent Psyker Gene into my body.
That would be rather a lengthy process, but it was certainly rather fortunate that I had a lot of samples from the members of the Frozen Coven.
From the several hundreds of corpses of the Psykers of the Frozen Coven, I had far more than I really needed for my own experiments, creating the Psyker Gene for myself and also some for the Partas Tribe.
Because I am seriously considering taking the Partas Tribe with me to the Kadath Universe if everything goes according to the plans, I wouldn't really mind giving some more boons to the Partas Tribe.
Not to mention, less being said that it was Esdeath was the one who asked me for the favor, and I couldn't really give her a negative answer. They were becoming rather close; in the entire Partas Tribe, it was only Esdeath who was talking to me on a regular basis without any fear.
Apparently, due to the power that I had, none of the tribesmen of the Partas Tribe dared to be informal with me.
Due to their deeply ingrained respect for the strong and powerful. I already had more than enough of this behavior back home; it was rather annoying when everyone you spoke to looked at you with the utmost reverence and worship.
That was one of the reasons why I liked it in the Partas Tribe. Everyone was mostly informal and very friendly towards me, so it was rather unfortunate that even here, it was becoming similar to the Chthonian Empire of Baator.
Nevertheless, the work on the Psyker Gene was progressing rather smoothly due to the research having almost no bottlenecks. Within the Icecrown Citadel, I have my very own laboratory made with the most advanced technology that the STCs in possession of the Partas Tribe could create.
Esdeath wanted me to create some sort of Psyker Gene Therapy for the Psykers of the Partas Tribe so that they could use the Psykery like the Sorcerers of the Frozen Coven and not just like till now.
It wouldn't be long before I had a stable result that could be used for the members of the Partas Tribe, which would allow them to channel their Psyker Powers freely. At the same time, there was the risk of Chaos, but according to everything I have seen till now, the Partas Tribesmen were supposed to be immune to the Ruination.
Even right now, Esdeath was sitting in my laboratory as she became bored rather fast without any combat out there.
Additionally, the destruction of the Frozen Coven has spooked up the Northern Tribes Alliance to the point where they have withdrawn to their core territory and started holing up there for the inevitable confrontation with the Partas Tribe.
This wasn't really that surprising because even before, the Partas Tribe represented the gravest kind of Danger, and now, with the perishing of the Frozen Coven, the only faction that was probably as powerful as the Partas Tribe, everyone in the Northern Tribes Alliance was spooked to no end.
Anyone with even half a brain could tell that the Partas Tribe had an unhidden ambition to unify their half of the continent. One reason was pure power, as they wanted to rule the northern area of the continent, while the other was mostly practical.
The threat of the Southerners beyond the mountains. Even though crossing over the mountain ranges that separated the North and South was a daunting and, in most cases, impossible task...
Nobody was willing to risk it.
The Southern Area was far more populous than the Northern Area, and obviously, the Northern Area, despite everything, was more prosperous because it was the palace where most of the powerful Danger Beasts lived and thrived.
Collectively speaking, the Southern Area was much weaker than the Northern Area, but what they lacked in the aspect of strength, they were making up for with their sheer numbers, which were great.
And obviously, both the Southerners and Northerners hated each other to death. The Partas Tribe was even right now carrying out serious planning and preparations for the possible and, in their opinion, rather inevitable invasion of the Southerners, not the North, for the resources that the North possessed.
Mainly the abundant source of the Danger Beasts and the STCs that were in the Northern Area in a great number. Even though the number of powerful warriors in the Northern Area was far greater than in the Southern Area, they could still fall to sheer numbers.
And what made things for the Partas Tribe, the Northern Tribes Alliance, was rather keen on working with the Southerners because of their naive ideals of peace and other bullshit, which only added to the reason for their annihilation.
"How long would it take you to finish it?"
I looked at the blue-haired General of the Partas Tribe, who was sitting in my lab and kicking her legs in the air like a bored child. I swore that even my kids behaved better when they were bored out of their minds compared to Esdeath.
Though she was always a bit hyperactive and constantly needed to be doing something, she would quickly grow bored. That was easy to notice when I had already spent so much time with her. Nowadays, because there really is nothing for her to do, she has started to annoy me in my laboratory.
Much to my dismay.
But at the same time, it was rather refreshing because back home, nobody would dare to enter when I was doing some kinds of experiments.
It could often be dangerous and fatal.
"In one more hour, the scans of the samples will be complete, and we will go out."
As shocking as it might seem, we were going on a date or the equivalent in the Partas Tribe, mainly at Esdeath's insistence, because I had repeatedly defeated her in combat.
