"Kid, while I'm not normally someone to get agitated easily or startled, who are you, as only a few people know my true name? So, either tell me how you acquired my true name, or suffer my wrath?" Mister X said gravely as he stared at Pharaoh with caution in his gaze.
'Why can't I sense his cultivation? Is he using an artifact or a technique to conceal his cultivation from my senses?' wondered Mister X as he summoned a hammer, which resembled the London Hammer found by archaeologists in the depths of Jurassic Mountain.
A relic born of a forgotten age, its head was a slab of ancient iron etched with fossilized patterns. The handle, more polished bone than wood, flickered with a ghostly green radiance as the hammer hummed with the weight of vanished eras.
"Is this really necessary?" asked Pharaoh to Xavi.
"Yes! Now you can either tell me what I want to know or~."
"Hey, you don't have to repeat yourself, kid," said Pharaoh as he interrupted Xavi before sighing, "Let's just say, I was there when your Master was formulating the plans to create you. Is that enough to let me off the hook, now?"
"Not by a long shot, however, if you let me peer into your soul, I'd gladly ignore your attitude and let you and your friends off the hook for wasting my time. Plus, I'll even allow you guys to skip the line and have first dibs on any Star trail you all want to challenge." Mister X said with a smile as the trio froze in shock before storming Pharaoh and demanding he accept Mister X's request.
'Fuck! Am I really that untrustworthy? Sigh... maybe I should just agree to his terms and get this over with, as I've already wasted plenty of time. Plus, it's not as if he will find anything anyway, considering the modifications I've made to Rin's soul.'
Thought Pharaoh as he snapped his fingers and conjured a barrier around him and Xavi, blocking the trio of hungry hyenas who wanted to pounce on him for the chance of a lifetime.
"Thank you. Now, stay still and let me take a peek at your soul," grinned Xavi as he stepped toward Pharaoh, placed his hand on his chest, and closed his eyes.
Allowing his energy to seep into Rin's body and make its way to his innermost being. However, before he could breach the faint membrane that surrounded Rin's Soul and gaze upon his Soul Palace, Mister X's Master appeared behind Xavi and swiped his hand.
Causing his energy to evaporate and his eyes to open in shock and frustration as he turned around to face whoever dared to interrupt his chance at reading the secrets of such an interesting and mysterious fella.
"Who the fuck~!" shouted Xavi as he turned around and saw his Master standing behind him with a gentle smile. Just as fear overtook him, causing him to fall to his knees instantly in repentance. "Sorry, Master, for my conduct. I didn't expect you to leave your residence and meddle in the matters of mortals."
"It's alright, my disciple, it was for your protection anyway, lest you saw something you shouldn't have and incurred the wrath of Heaven." Varick Star stated plainly as his eyes settled upon Rin, or should I say Pharaoh, at the moment.
"So, if you wouldn't mind, could you please tell me your real name, Mister? As I don't remember becoming friends with people who steal bodies and keep the original owners in a state of slumber," asked Varick Star politely.
"Sharp as always, Varick," sighed Pharaoh. "But to not even remember me, surely Elizabeth couldn't have grown that strong during my absence."
He muttered before changing the topic.
"Well, since it came to this, I guess it wouldn't be an issue to tell you two, my name is Pharaoh, or as this world calls me, the Forsakened Prince. But you two would most likelyremember me as Kemet, the Last Warrior of the Sun Tribe."
He said as shock overtook the master and disciple, who were currently staring at Pharaoh as if he were some sort of ghost.
"... damn. Who would have thought the greatest tribe of warriors in the Cosmos would still have a descendant after all these eons," muttered Varick Star as memories of their glory and reign flashed through his mind.
"While amazing, I'm but a fragment of my original self meant to help this kid with his journey. So whatever thoughts and plans you might have for Rin, Varick, kill them, as he won't be taking on the burden of our sins nor the risk of reviving an already forgotten civilization," said Pharaoh as if he could see the gears turning in Varick's mind.
"Tsk, no fun... but anywho, what brings you here, Kemet?" asked Varick, even though inwardly he was still trying to pinpoint who Pharaoh might be, as he never heard of the Sun tribe having a warrior named Kemet.
But then again, most of the upper elites of the Sun tribe went by codenames and were categorized by their tattoos, which signified their role and rank.
"Well, as stated earlier, I'm but a fragment of my former self meant to help this kid with his journey. So, if it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, could I take part in your trial and set the foundation for this kid to unlock his Seven Celestial Stars while also creating a star body in the process, Varick?" said Pharaoh, as Varick paused and thought of the implications this action would have on his reputation before he began to laugh hysterically.
"Who know what, Kemet... fuck it, let's set this world ablaze and watch as chaos reigns supreme and disorder comes the new norm," smiled Varick as he threw all caution to the wind and teleported himself, Xavi, and Pharaoh into the pocket dimension of his trial.
While also breaking the barrier that once confined them and stopped anyone from peering into their conversation.
"Huh? Where did they go? Weren't they here just a while ago?" asked the monk in bewilderment as he glanced at the princess and the bare-chested guy, who were just as confused, if not more.
However, before the trio could try to understand what occurred, the receptionist at the front stopped what she was doing and stood up.
"Would participant number 894 and her two companions, please make their way to the front of the line to earn their trial tokens?" The receptionist said as the trio looked at each other in astonishment before rushing to the front of the line to receive their tokens.
An opportunity few get the chance to achieve, as there are only a few tokens made every decade that allow a participant to enter any Star Trial of their choosing without being subjected to a time limit and a few other disadvantages.
But anyway, with that, let's see what sort of storm Pharaoh will set off as he tries to achieve the impossible without breaking any rules...
