The year was 2049, and the skyline of Makati had evolved into a forest of shimmering, eco-glass spires and vertical gardens. Yet, the 50th floor of the Spencer Global Building remained the undisputed throne of the city. The dark mahogany had been polished by decades of history, and the deep-sea blue carpets were still as plush as the day a pregnant Ysabella had first ordered them.

The heavy oak doors swept open with a familiar, authoritative rhythm.

Zeke Spencer, now twenty-three, stepped into the executive suite with a stride that was a carbon copy of his father's—deliberate, powerful, and radiating a quiet, lethal confidence. He wore a bespoke navy suit that complemented his raven-black hair, which he still kept slicked back, though now with a maturity that commanded every room he entered.

Right beside him was Zenie. At twenty-two, she was the personification of the "Director's Mirror." Her golden-brown hair fell in elegant waves over a structured blazer, and her hazel eyes were already scanning the room for discrepancies before she had even reached the desk.

"Mom! Dad!" Zenie's voice rang out, warm yet professional.

Ysabella looked up from her holographic tablet, a soft, radiant smile breaking across her face. Time had been kind to the Director; she possessed an air of timeless grace, her eyes still as sharp and perceptive as the day she first audited the 42nd floor.

Zayden, sitting in the high-backed executive chair, dropped his gold fountain pen—the same one he had used since the day Zeke was born. He stood up, his tall frame still commanding, his hair now a distinguished silver-gold that only added to his "King of the Docks" aura.

The "Mini-Sharks" had become the "Great Whites."

Zeke reached his mother first, leaning down to press a lingering, respectful kiss to her cheek. "You're working too hard again, Mom. I can see the margin adjustments on your screen from the doorway."

"It's a force of habit, Zeke," Ysabella laughed, patting his hand.

Zenie followed after, kissing Ysabella's other cheek before turning to her father. She threw her arms around Zayden in a fierce hug that reminded him she would always be the girl who once "re-audited" his office with glitter glue.

"We just finished hanging out with our friends," Zenie said, pulling back to look at her parents. "Kuya Zeke and I decided to come by as soon as we finished. We figured you two might need a hand closing the Q3 projections."

"We're not that old yet, Zenie," Zayden teased, though he pulled both of his children into a massive, protective embrace. "But I'll never turn down a Spencer-led audit. Marcus was just complaining that the security protocols at the new Cebu terminal were 'too lax.' Zeke, I want your eyes on the tactical layout."

"Already on it, Dad," Zeke said, pulling a slim tablet from his breast pocket. "I actually ran a preliminary simulation while we were at lunch. The perimeter response time is off by twelve seconds. I've already drafted the corrective measures."

Zayden's blue eyes shined with a pride that had only grown over twenty-three years. "Twelve seconds? You're getting soft. Your mother would have found fifteen."

"I found eighteen," Ysabella added playfully, sliding a physical folder across the desk.

The four of them settled into the familiar rhythm of the office. It was a sight that the Spencer Global employees had come to revere—the "Quadrilateral Audit."

Zeke took the armchair near the window, his brow furrowed as he dissected the security manifests with the cold, surgical precision of a man who had been trained by Marcus since he could walk. Zenie sat on the edge of the large mahogany desk, her glittery clipboard long replaced by a high-level forensic accounting interface, her hazel eyes dancing as she found a three-percent leak in the logistics chain.

"Zenie, look at the star-anise imports," Ysabella suggested, leaning over her daughter's shoulder. "The Vane descendants are trying to squeeze the middleman again."

"They never learn, do they?" Zenie muttered, her fingers flying across the interface. "I'll freeze their credit line before the shipment even hits the international date line. They can keep their spices; we'll keep the profit."

Zayden watched them, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked at Ysabella, who met his gaze with a knowing, contented smile. They had built more than a company; they had built a fortress of intellect and loyalty.

"Hubby, you're staring," Ysabella whispered.

"I'm just performing a long-term audit of my investments, wifey," Zayden replied, his voice a low, fond rumble. "And I have to say, the ROI is spectacular."

As the evening wore on, the professional masks began to slip, replaced by the warmth of a family that had survived every storm the world had thrown at them.

"So," Ysabella said, closing her tablet. "Lunch with friends? Anyone I should be auditing for potential 'Spouse-Material' status?"

Zeke let out a groan, his ears turning slightly red—the only sign of a "Spencer" vulnerability. "Mom, please. We were just discussing the Thorne Art Gala. Dylan's son is hosting it this year."

"And Kuya was definitely talking to a girl from the Bureau of Internal Revenue for a suspiciously long time," Zenie teased, dodging the pen Zeke playfully tossed at her.

"She has an excellent grasp of tax law, Zenie! It was a professional exchange," Zeke defended.

"Sure, Kuya. And Dad only married Mom because of her 'excellent grasp' of the 42nd floor," Zenie countered, her hazel eyes twinkling with the same mischief she'd had as a four-year-old.

Zayden laughed, the sound deep and resonant. "She has a point, Zeke. A good auditor is hard to find. If she can handle your temper and your spreadsheets, she might be a keeper."

The sun finally set, leaving the office in a glow of ambient, warm lights. The "Mini-Sharks" had grown, the empire had expanded, and the ledgers were fuller than ever. But as the four of them stood together, looking out over the city they owned, the most important audit was the one they felt in their hearts.

"I'm hungry," Zeke announced, the "Alpha Appetite" finally asserting itself. "Let's go to that brisket place. The one near the old docks."

"The one with the spicy leeks?" Zayden asked, his eyes lighting up.

"It's still the best, Dad," Zenie agreed, grabbing her bag. "And I think Mom still has a 'change of mind' craving for it every now and then."

Ysabella bit her lip, leaning into Zayden's side as they walked toward the private elevator. "I think the Director can clear her schedule for some brisket."
