A loud frustrated grumble echoed from the open doorway behind them.
'Haah… why do I have to come along?' Mandy thought, he was having a good time just being at home
Mandy stepped out onto the sunlit porch. He was dressed in his immaculate, perfectly pressed black-and-white tailcoat and he was entirely unarmored.
He didn't carry a sword, and he certainly didn't carry a magic staff.
'I don't think I'll have to do any sort of fighting…'
But he was currently carrying a large dark leather duffel bag.
The heavy canvas strap dug into his shoulder.
The bag was stuffed to the bursting point with emergency medical supplies, sterile bandages, high-tier healing potions, sterilized water flasks, and field rations.
"My Lord, I really fail to see why the estate's primary caretaker must attend a bloodsport tournament, why don't you let me stay home?" Mandy grumbled under his breath.
