"You are a coward," I reminded him softly again."You built a massive company. But you are terrified of me, you are terrified of a contract wife, whose father almost ruined your business."
"Yes," Caelan confessed, his voice cracking slightly in the dark street. "I am terrified of you. Because when I look at you, I forget about the strategy. I forget about the rules. Less than an hour before I gave you that speech about self-control, I had my mouth on your neck, Vivienne. I wanted to tear that contract up infact I still want to."
I looked at him, feeling the warmth of the wine mixing with the sudden rush of adrenaline in my veins.
"But you didn't," I said. "You chose self-control."
