The prison cracked.
It was not a subtle fracture along an outer wall, nor was it a damaged seal bleeding minor ambient radiation into the surrounding realm. It was not even another one of Ragnar's heavy anchor chains severing under tension.
It was the structural whole. The entirety of the cosmic containment vessel shattered across its vertical axis.
A jagged, blinding rupture tore from one end of existence to the other, splitting the firmament open like parched earth.
Reality screamed. The ambient space groaned as spatial geometry buckled, and the Foundation beneath the academy plaza shook violently. Massive stone pillars collapsed into fine, crystalline dust, mountain ranges on the distant horizon flattened into rubble in seconds, and the surrounding battlefield dissolved into complete, unadulterated chaos.
Then, every administrative notification vanished.
All of them.
