Sun Chariot was at a loss for words, the two umamusume she was ready to scold were smarter than her, A deep sense of shame welled up in her heart.
"...I-im sorry for assuming." she said with wet eyes.
'But what she said is true…?' Avalon couldn't help but find the situation funny.
"It's Okay Sun, everyone makes mistakes." A warm voice echoed from behind Sun Chariot.
Another umamusume.
'Is this a flagged event or something???' Avalon's social battery was rapidly depleting (she barely spoke).
This umamusume was much more mature looking, definitely the big sister type, Avalon got goo goo babies flashbacks just looking at her.
She had unbelievably long baby-brown hair that flowed wild and wavy, two fiercely empathetic emerald green eyes, and a subtly melancholic but completely fearless smile. Paired with a strikingly visual crimson ribbon tied around her wrist.
"Godiva…!" Sun Chariot's expression did a full 180 when she saw this umamusume, softening to a much more vulnerable looking one. Avalon can confirm, it was adorable.

'Fragile Health…?' Avalon noted it for later.
"Im sorry about her, she's very strict when it comes to learning." Godiva said with a smile, "My name is Godiva, this is Sun Chariot, it's nice to meet you."
"Oh, I'm Avalon but feel free to call me Ava if that's a mouthful for you." Avalon responded in kind.
"Ava it is then, im sure Sun here just wanted to be friends, she's not the most social person if you didn't already notice. That, and she's very competitive, so I hope you'll excuse my roommate."
'Roommate, huh? Makes sense.'
"That goes for you too, sleepy. I apologize for her."
Point l'Eveque raised her head again, a carefree smile still on her face, "It's fine…" then she turned to Avalon, "I made a friend out of it so yawn~ it's all good."
"...Eh?"
'Friend? We didn't even have a conversation and I technically shouldn't even know your name… when did we become friends???' Not that Avalon minded, she didn't have any friends her age in this life so having one wouldn't hurt.
"Avava… carry me to our next lesson, I'm too tired to walk…" the small girl pleaded.
"Avava…?" That was a new one, "also aren't you moving a bit too fas-" Avalon began to stand as she spoke but the moment she was upright she found a dark blue haired uma clung to her like a koala.
"I changed my mind. Sure I'll carry you." Avalon said with a smile.
'She's too cute to refuse! Dammit! Plus she's super light and squishy…' She was once again fooled by cuteness.
As Avalon walked out with the small uma on her back, Sun Chariot and Godiva watched with slightly confused expressions.
'Did they forget about us…?'
—
While making their way to the next class, Avalon took the opportunity to ask the girl her name. It'd be a little suspicious if she somehow knew her name when she hadn't introduced herself, even if she knew with insight.
"So uhh… What's your name, friend?"
"Mm… Point l'Eveque."
"I see… well then Point l'Eveque, if we're friends now I'll call you Eve, if you don't mind of course."
"I like it, Avava." the tiny uma smiled a little brighter.
Avalon took critical damage from that one, 'Gh…! She's too cute!' Avalon vowed to protect this girl no matter what right then and there.
—
For the rest of the day, Avalon carried the sleepy uma to every class. She felt like a mini taxi, but she didn't mind, Point l'Eveque was practically weightless anyway. Once the school day ended, she made her way over to the training course to find Chris.
"Trainer, are we running again today?" Avalon asked a little hesitantly.
"Nope, you've pretty much got the golden ratio down. All we need to do now is maximize your physical ability before your junior year starts and brief you on how a great chaser like me runs." She said rather absentmindedly.
"Really? Woohoo!" Avalon cheered.
"Dont cheer just yet, you're gonna be doing a ton of physical training until january. To the point you'll wanna throw up. Are you ready?" Chris spoke seriously.
"I GOT THIS!!!" Avalon reaffirmed.
—
4 months later, January 1940
"Bleugh…! I regret it!!! I-Urp! I regret it all!!!" Avalon was currently throwing up her lunch into a bucket Chris prepared in advance.
A short 4 months passed but for each and every day, Avalon had been tricked into strength training even Hercules would struggle with, speed training that made her feel like if she slipped she would die and wit training that Socrates would be stuck on.
Not to mention all the idol training.
Avalon hadn't ever seen this level of training, even in the anime. She would argue this was worse than what Kitasan Black went through. Hell she did so much strength training she believed she could give Gentildonna a run for her money.
Ever since Chris found out Avalon was telling the truth when she said she was rarely in a bad condition, she bumped up her training to a superhuman level. Even Chris herself is surprised Avalon hadn't torn a muscle or broken a bone yet.
"The new year has started and your Junior year is about to begin. You should know what that means, right?" Chris asked the uma with her face in a bucket.
Avalon's nausea turned to excitement as she responded, "Debut Race…!"
"Thats right." Chris confirmed with a nod, she stopped trying to get this stubborn girl to quit a while ago, "Which means I gotta ask you a question, a very important question."
"...?" Avalon looked at Chris confusedly.
"What is your goal?"
"My… Goal? Is this like that other question you asked me before? I told you I don't know." Avalon retorted.
"No. That was 'Why' you ran. I wanna know what you want to achieve by running. So basically, what kinds of races you want to enter." Chris explained.
"Ohh… if it's like that then… maybe world domination?"
"Hm?"
"If I'm gonna be a racer, I don't want to just fade into obscurity. A person dies 3 times, when their heart stops beating, when someone says their name for the last time, and once they are forgotten. Dying alone is not an option. I want to become an immortal legend, so that even after I die, people will remember me. And what better way to be remembered than conquering the world with an undefeated record."
"..." Chris remained silent for a moment.
'And you said you didn't know why you ran, heh.' Chris smirked.
"Alright then, I'll make that wish of yours come true. A true legend even the likes of Eclipse gets overshadowed by." She said.
"Right!" Avalon got pumped just thinking about it.
"And to do that, we're gonna have to win the triple crown this year." Chris said casually.
…
…
…
"...What?"
—
Chris had set Avalon's debut to be in February. If she wanted to grab the triple crown, she would have to debut and rack up enough popularity before May.

'Well, I'm pretty alright now. If nothing unexpected happens, I should be all good for my debut…' Avalon thought logically.
"...But the triple crown…" Avalon's face changed to one of worry.
Yes, she could definitely participate in the triple crown races in her junior year if she won enough races and had enough fans but…
…She would have to race against her seniors.
'And I know how that went down last time… heh.'
"Avava… yawn~ whats wrong…?" The lazy genius called out from behind Avalon.
"Hm? Eve? It's nothing, it's just that my Debut race is soon. Maybe I'm nervous? Hehe."
"Hm. Avava c'mere." Point l'Eveque gestured her hand for Avalon to come closer.
And Avalon, being the curious girl she is, crouched down a little in front of Point l'Eveque to match her eye level.
"What's up Eve?" She asked.
Pat-!
Avalon felt a tiny hand pat her head.
"You can do it Avava. I'm rooting for you…!" Point l'Eveque said in a tired voice.
"...Urgh." Avalon's face twisted in frustration.
'THIS GIRL IS TOO DAMN CUTE!'
