I kicked open the door to Candace's room, my body buzzing with the primal desire to claim my mate.
I slammed the door behind me with enough force to rattle the frame, my breathing harsh and ragged. My chest heaved and immediately her scent, her arousal surrounded me, her pleasure rushing through me through the matebond.

Candace pushed up on her elbows immediately, her golden eyes snapping open wide with shock.
